SCHOOL ASSIGNMENT ━━
ETHAN HAD ALWAYS HAD ONE FRIEND AT SCHOOL, AT HOME, ANYWHERE he went he had one friend. Erin. He was surprised she hadn't grown tired of him yet. She was gorgeous, she was talented and kind. It was basically everything that made whole a popular girl, it was confusing why Erin decided to spend her time with a loner like him. He was grateful for her, she made his painting sessions more fun or sometimes they just laid in a grass field and did nothing.
So he sat in his class, next to Erin. Biology wasn't one of his strongest subjects, he was good in psychology and at times history. That pretty much summed it up. Erin however was the girl everyone wanted to be, she was good at every subject and often tutored Ethan in various subjects. Erin was everything a girl wanted to be in high school. Being new at this school with her had been rather awkward but he was settling in with the idea of having one friend, it seemed better this way.
If you were lonely it meant there could be less ridiculous dramas.
Ethan scribbled down on his notes, looking up multiple times. Him not wearing his glasses was definitely not working in his favour, but to be honest he barely wore them. It made him look like the blonde and weirder version of Harry Potter.
"Alright so, I'll be splitting you guys up into pairs. You'll finish the projects page thirty to forty five." His teacher explained, Ethan still didn't remember his name but that didn't matter. The boy felt anxiety raise in his gut, he knew he would be alone without Erin. Ethan had always been more introverted and never liked doing group projects, it made him feel out of place because it was always so incredibly awkward. He could always feel their lingering eyes on his figure as he hastily scribbled down the answers.
Ethan heard Erin be placed with another girl he didn't recognise, the list went on and on. Devon Lee and Ali Spier, Kenny Payne and Ryan Pike etc. He felt his heartbeat stop the second his name was mentioned, praying to the gods it was someone with patience or someone with pity. Either worked.
"Ethan Blake and.. Anthony LaRusso!" The teacher called out. Ethan his eyes widened in surprise, LaRusso, the family he had been training at for days. The same family he had so awkwardly had dinner with. His heart had dropped to his stomach.
He looked behind him and Anthony was looking at him already. He didn't seem happy but he didn't seem annoyed either. Ethan on the other hand felt like his entire world just flipped upside down. This was going to be very awkward.
He hadn't said a word to Anthony ever since he asked where his bathroom was. Not at occasional dinners or when Anthony saw him training. Ethan had made some progress with Sam but that was pretty much it. The boy still turned into a mess whenever Daniel or Amanda spoke to him, quite literally it was as if his entire brain melted and all he could so was sputter out some half sentences.
Ethan sent him an awkward smile before looking back at Erin, the girl sent him a sympathetic smile. Ethan wished he could sent himself one because he definitely needed it. After class Ethan hesitantly waited for Anthony by the door. As Anthony made his way over he paused when he saw Ethan.
"Umh- here is my number." Anthony mumbled out as he gave a little ripped out paper with a number written on it. Ethan his eyes widened, that was surprisingly easy. The boy nodded and moved out of the way so that Anthony could leave. Erin raised her brows, "Did you not catch that on purpose or is it because you're not wearing your glasses?" She asked.
Ethan gave her a confused look, "What- what did I miss?" He asked feeling like Erin was just messing with him again. The girl whined loudly as if he had disappointed her. "Did you not see his blush?!"
Ethan rolled his eyes and sighed, "Stop saying ridiculous stuff. There is no way Anthony LaRusso would be gay, I've seen the games on his pc. He is as straight as a fucking line." He responded in slight annoyance, Erin groaned in defeat.
"Ugh I hate it when you don't wear your glasses!" She exclaimed as she started walking towards her locker. Ethan furrowed his eyes in confusion and followed behind her.
"I think you need glasses aswel." Ethan argued weakly as he put his books in her locker without question. He was too lazy to go to his own locker so it became a habit to force everything inside of Erin's.
"You do not have freedom of speech on vision mr. I fell down the stairs at Erin her house because I didn't wear my glasses." The girl taunted which earned her a smack across the back of her head. She laughed amused and closed her locker.
There was no way Anthony was blushing at him, that was ridiculous.
