Lunch break at Pledis University's cafeteria today was different from a few days ago. Though it was always noisy, the topic of conversation centered on the long table at the side, which had never been this full before.
Despite one chair being empty, the students enjoying their meals were amazed that the long table had finally become an interesting sight to watch.
Seungcheol's gang and Jeonghan's friends had finally sat together again at that table.
The biggest difference that anyone noticed was that Jeonghan and Seungcheol were no longer sitting beside each other. In fact, they were sitting quite far apart. Instead, Mingyu and Seungkwan sat side by side, playing with each other's fingers on the table, even while engaged in different conversations with their friends.
"So... the news is true? Seungcheol and Jeonghan broke up, but Mingyu and Seungkwan are a couple?" asked a girl from another table not far from the twelve guys' table.
Her friend frowned. "Oh please, everyone already knew about Kim Mingyu and Boo Seungkwan being an item. Don't act so shocked now."
"But that was just a rumor until today when we saw them being so clingy with each other," the girl defended herself.
"Whatever," her friend said, rolling his eyes. "Even though Mingyu is taken now, I finally have some hope with Choi Seungcheol." She grinned.
Her friend chuckled. "Wake up, would you? Didn't you see Seungcheol still has his eyes on Jeonghan?"
The two girls turned their heads bluntly to Seungcheol, and sure enough, the eldest at that table was silently watching Jeonghan.
"A penny for your thoughts," Joshua snapped his fingers in front of Seungcheol's face, making his friend immediately turn to him with a blank expression.
"What?" Seungcheol asked, as if he had just woken up from a nap.
"Nothing." Joshua chuckled. "Just go for him if you like him," he teased, pointing at Jeonghan with his chin.
"Oh, shut up." Seungcheol nudged Joshua's arm. "I was just... daydreaming."
"Dreaming about him?" Joshua continued his teasing but stopped laughing when Seungcheol glared at him.
"Sow did Vernon get detention?" Minghao's question made Seungcheol turn to him.
