"What about you? Ever got your heart broken?" I asked him.
"Romantically? No. Never gave it to anyone." He replied after taking a second.
"It's not really a matter of choice. You just fall—even if they're nothing like you imagined them to be; sometimes you even fall for the most unexpected person or even rivals! Ever read those enemy to lovers books?" I can never contain my excitement.
"Wow, you seem to know quite a lot about love." He pointed.
"What do you think of it?"
"I don't know; it just breaks your heart, I guess."
I wondered where that belief might've come from. I'm sure he wasn't born with that belief. No one is. We're all born loving and lovable, aren't we?
It's a stupid thing not to love in fear of getting your heart broken.
"But eventually you'd have to give in; how long can you actually run from it?"
"Well maybe, but I know that day is too far to worry about it."
"You're just out of this world." I dramatically moved my hands in air.
"I'll take this as a compliment then. Do you miss your family?" He asked.
"So much. I even miss them scolding me."
"You must really miss them."
The wind was so soothing, messing with our hair. It was cold but pleasant.
The ropeway came to a halt.
"Oh wait, Juliet."
Justin got down first, lending me hand.
"Close your eyes." He said, covering my eyes gently with his hands.
"I swear if you make me fall and be embarrassed..."
"I'll catch you."
"And then act like I broke your bones." I teased, remembering the first day we had met.
"That one time it was really ugly; you literally jumped over me and attacked me under your foot."
"You could've acted nice and prevented that!"
"Okay, fine, it was my fault. Happy now?"
"Happy. But can I open my eyes now?"
"No wait. We're almost there."
I felt his hands leave my face. I gasped when I saw the scene in front of my eyes.
The beach, the stars, the trees—everything was as I had seen in the dream.
Her memory.
The breath-taking view seemed like it was straight from a fairy tale. But the fact that I had already been there somehow, even though I hadn't physically—scared me.
