I was over at Georgie's house, as per usual

I was over at Georgie's house, as per usual. But this time it was a bit more fun than usual. Why, you ask? Cause Connie's babysitting! Me and Georgie obviously don't need to be babysat, but the twins did. Anyway, right now we're on a beer run for 'mee maw'. The only reason we're okay with it's because we get payed in fire crackers.

Me and Georgie were just walking down the street in the lukewarm winter air of Texas. Him wearing jeans, a yellow jersey, a denim jacket, and high top black converse. Me also in jeans, just a lighter wash, a Guns n' Roses t-shirt, and matching converse with Georgie.

I was completely comfortable until the wind started to pick up, just to my stupid luck. I hate being cold, let alone shivering. It feels like a hundred tiny spiders are climbing up your spine. Speaking of which, that's what I'm feeling right now. Egh.

"You cold?" Georgie asks.

"A little." I reply.

"Why didn't you wear a jacket?"

"Didn't check the weather." I lied. Truth is I was going to grab one but I had to get out of the house before my dad beat the shit out of me.

"Take mine."

"I won't argue." I said accepting the jacket. By the time I got it on we were already at the liquor store. Georgie opened the door for me and we walked in, grabbing the type of beer his grandmother likes, and paying.

After we were about a block from the liquor store, I pulled two extra bottles of beer from Georgie's jacket.

"How the hell did you do that?!" He asked in disbelief.

"I have my ways." The way I've basically been living on the streets for the past fucking year.

"This is why we're best friends." He high fives me, something we do regularly.

We both drink the beers and by the time we're finished we're already just about back at the Coopers house.

We throw our empty bottles on some old guys lawn before walking in.

We walk in and I instantly hear music loudly playing from the twins room. Definitely not Sheldon, so it's got to be Missy. I walk down the hall into the girls room and she whips around when she hears the door.

"Oh hey Harley!"

"Hey Miss, George Michael, good taste." I compliment.

She gives me a wide smile then I leave the room closing the door behind me.

I walk through the small house to the kitchen.

"Hey Harley!" Connie exclaimed. She's always loved me. "So that's where his jacket went..." she mumbled.

"Huh?" I asked.

"Oh, I said Georgie's in the back!"

"That little bitch started without me?!" I exclaimed walking outside as Connie laughed her ass off.
