"Arg" Binagsak ko ang katawan sa upuan. I just finished my report and It was damn exhausting, nagugutom na rin ako.
"Myself deserves something," I whispered.
My face lights up with the idea in my head. I deserve unli rice!
"Right!" I grabbed my stuff and immediately went outside.
"Hi," a smiling face appeared in my sight. I'm not against their existence, but I'm hungry; please kindly leave for now.
It was Lyall. "What?" I raised a brow. "Sungit,"
I rolled my eyes. "Saan ka pupunta?" tanong niya.
"Kakain, but I want to be alone," I calmly and honestly said but he only laughed.
What's wrong? I was honest. Tho, I'm not in the mood to talk to people because I am hungry.
"Wala lang," he stopped walking, and I didn't bother to look.
I enjoyed lunch all alone while fantasizing about the landscape seen through the glass. I am on the second floor of the restaurant near our school.
"Scrumptious," I happily told myself. I look like a little kid; well, I love food!
While eating, a single thought entered my mind, which made me grab my phone and stalk that guy.
I tried to search for his personal account, but I guess it's private. "What a boring."
I continued eating while watching people outside going into the restaurant where I am eating.
"Oh."
I stopped eating and rummaged through my bag to get some makeup. I applied some light powder to my face and put my things back. I cleared my throat and fixed myself. I started eating again at a slow pace, acting like I was unaware of my earlier actions.
Calm down, self!
"Hey, you're here," Sylvan greeted.
"Hi," a small smile appeared on my face.
"Are you alone?" he asked.
"Yes, are you?" I asked back.
"Yep. Mind if I sit?" he questioned.
"Sure," an instant answer of mine. What’s not clicking?
"Did you order already?" I asked to ease the boredom and silence.
"Yes."
"Oh, by the way, like I told you, I got customers again. You’re such a charm. Yayaman na ata ako dahil sa'yo," I laughed hard because of his statement.
"You are crazy," I said, covering my mouth as I laughed hard. I calmed myself before facing him again.
"Pulchritudinous," I heard him whisper as he watched the view outside, and I ignored it.
"Look, for the hundredth time, it's because of you alone. It's not my beauty; it's your skills that made it glamorous. You deserve it." I then continued with my food.
He just smiled. "What's wrong?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Maybe, but maybe it's you," he said as the crew arrived and doled out his orders.
"Maybe tayo," I said directly after the crew left. I stopped eating again when the realization hit me.
"Ibig kong sabihin, maybe tayo; tayong dalawa 'yung dahilan," I said, pointing at him and then at myself. "Your talent, my face card," I smiled.
He chuckled. "Yeah, iwas away," tumango-tango siya.
"May gagawin ka ba after?"
Kidding.
"Province," was my simple reply.
"Saan? Pwede sumama? I wanna chill for a moment," he requested.
"Hmm," I said, acting like I was thinking
Wala namang masama. He’s been good to me since I got here. He’s a good friend, a good guy.
I shouldn’t trust strangers!
But I think he’s a good guy!
"I'll ask my parents first, para hindi sila magulat na may dala akong lalaki," tumawa ako.
"Sure, just chat me if I am allowed," he respectfully responded.
"Sure, I'll chat on your page. Are you really into photography? Like, since then? Who trained you? I mean, you're too good," I asked continuously.
Recalling.
"Well, thank you for your compliment. Photography isn't my first choice. I was into music, specifically singing. Photography caught my interest because of my tito; he's a photographer. At first, it felt boring to me, but when I saw him work and capture people, I saw something deeper. That’s when it all started," he explained in detail.
I nodded, absorbing his words. "How about you? Aside from visiting museums, what other things do you enjoy doing?" he asked.
"My so-called ate is training me in things like guns. So, I am interested in fighting," I said truthfully.
"Katakot ka pala," he joked, and we laughed.
We added some dessert before leaving the restaurant and discussed a few more topics. We also planned to walk to the jeepney stop.
"Sonomi," a guy called me from behind.
Slyvan and I instantly looked around, witnessing a man crying. I didn't know what to do. We are not close!
"Oh, my!" I ran to catch him when he knelt down. "What happened to you?" I asked.
"Do you want to sit there first? Para comfortable?" tanong ni Slyvan habang tinuturo ang upuan malapit sa amin.
"Sonomi," he called and reached for my face. I was still confused. His eyes were turning a rare color; he looked like someone else, someone not ordinary, unexplainable.
"Choose," he hugged me, but I felt a release in my stomach. "There are no other choices," he continued.
"Slyvan," I called.
"Sonomi. Tulong! Somebody help me!"—These are the words that I remembered.
