The next day, Hyebin woke up bright and early to get ready. She had a full day ahead—classes to attend, meetings to go to, and a determination to start the year right. She tried to ignore the clutter on Gunwook's side of the room, focusing instead on her own tasks. But even the beauty of her organization couldn't mask the tension from the previous day.

As she quietly prepared for her day, she heard a loud thud followed by a muttered curse from Gunwook's side. She couldn't help but roll her eyes. It seemed that even in the early morning, Gunwook was as messy and loud as ever.

When Gunwook finally emerged from his bed, his hair was a tousled mess and he looked like he'd barely slept. He glanced at Hyebin with a groggy expression. "Morning," he muttered, clearly not a fan of early hours.

"Morning," Hyebin replied coolly, adjusting her put together outfit. She wore a white and blue striped blouse with a white tank top underneath and some blue jeans. "I've got a full day of classes. Please try not to be too rowdy while I'm gone."

Gunwook gave a slight smirk. "Yeah, sure. I'll try not to blast any punk rock this time."

Hyebin tried to ignore his sarcastic tone as she grabbed her books and headed out. The day passed in a plethora of lectures and meetups, but she couldn't shake the lingering annoyance from her new roommate situation.

When she returned to the dormitory that afternoon, she found Gunwook sprawled on his bed, engrossed in a video game. The room was still in disarray, and the clutter seemed to have multiplied in her absence.

"Did you do anything productive today?" she asked, trying to keep her tone neutral.

Gunwook glanced up from his game, his eyes narrowing. "Well, I've been doing some important research," he said, gesturing to the screen.

"Important research?" Hyebin echoed, her skepticism evident. "Seems like you're more interested in winning a game than actually doing something useful."

"Hey, not all of us are overachievers," Gunwook shot back. "Some of us need a break from all the... overachieving."

Hyebin bit back a retort, reminding herself that arguing wouldn't solve anything. "Whatever. Just remember that we're sharing this space. I would appreciate it if you kept it a bit more organized."

Gunwook rolled his eyes, clearly unimpressed. "And I'm sure you'll let me know every time you find a dust bunny or a stray sock, right? You sound like a germaphobe mother"

Hyebin rolled her eyes as she set to work on her side of the room. She noticed Gunwook's side looked even messier than before—clothes on the floor and empty takeout containers scattered about. It was becoming clear that their idea of cleanliness was worlds apart.

Later that evening, as Hyebin was preparing for a study session, she heard a knock on their door. It was a friendly face from the dormitory's resident assistant, who was checking in to make sure everyone was settling in smoothly.

"Hi, I'm Luna. Just wanted to see how you two are adjusting. Any issues so far?" she asked with a warm smile.

Hyebin hesitated, glancing at Gunwook who was giving her a look that clearly said, "Don't you dare."

"We're managing," Hyebin said politely. "Just a few... minor adjustments."

Gunwook chimed in with a smirk, "Yeah, let's just say we're still figuring out the whole 'living together' thing."

Luna laughed lightly. "Well, if you need anything or have any concerns, don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to help."

"Thanks," Hyebin said with a tight smile as Luna left. She turned to Gunwook, "Well, that was awkward."

Gunwook shrugged, grabbing another snack. "I don't think she noticed the mess. But hey, at least she's nice."

Hyebin shook her head, trying to suppress her frustration. "Just try to keep things somewhat under control. It would make living together a lot easier."

Gunwook snorted but didn't argue. Instead, he put his gaming console aside and began picking up some of the mess. It was a small gesture, but one that didn't go unnoticed by Hyebin.

As they settled into a sort of routine, the days ahead seemed like they'd be a constant struggle between order and chaos, between their clashing personalities. But somewhere amidst the tension, there was the potential for understanding—if only they could find a way to bridge the gap between their differing worlds.

As Hyebin opened her textbooks and settled into her study corner, she couldn't help but wonder if, despite their rocky start, they might eventually find common ground. After all, the year had just begun, and the best (or worst) was yet to come.
