Gunwook POV:
The party was in full swing, pulsating with energy as bodies swayed to the beat of the music. Gunwook felt the thrill of the night wrap around him like a warm blanket amidst a whirlwind of laughter and chatter.
He looked over at Hyebin, who tried the best she could to have a serious expression, though Arin whispered something in her ear, no doubt teasing of him.
"Look at her," Ricky said, nudging Gunwook. "She's trying so hard to act unimpressed, but you can tell she's having a little fun."
"Or she's just plotting her escape," Gunwook shot back, smirking.
"But it's nice to see her let loose a bit." He felt a twinge of satisfaction knowing she was here-even if it was under pressure. Maybe tonight was going to be different.

As the night wore on, Gunwook's attention fell back to the infectious energy of the dance floor. Joining in-moving to the rhythm, laughing with friends-his gaze found themselves searching for Hyebin. She was magnetic, even in her effort to resist the pull of the festivities.
"Hey, drinks anyone?" Gyuvin suggested, tugging Gunwook back into the real world of the crowded room. "We definitely need some fuel for this party! "
"Yeah, i'm down" Gunwook agreed, yet as he turned, he caught sight of Hyebin once more, this time with a determined look on her face.
Gunwook agreed, however, upon turning, he glanced at Hyebin again who this time has a resolute visage. She was forcing her way through the crowd; clearly, she was on a mission.
Hyebin POV:
Hyebin was starting to feel trapped. The noise was deafening, and every time Gunwook caught her eye, a wave of annoyance and unexpected warmness bubbled inside her. She was tired of fighting this weird chemistry between them.
"Come on, we're getting drinks!" Arin declared, tugging her along. She let herself be pulled along, hoping a break from the mayhem would clear her head.
As they came closer to the bar area, she saw Gunwook again-this time laughing with Ricky and Gyuvin. For some reason, the sight of him brought a flicker of irritation and curiosity within her.
"Just ignore him," Hyebin whispered to herself, but Arin wasn't having it.
"Hey, look who it is!" Arin exclaimed, waving at Gunwook. Before Hyebin could protest, they were being swept into the group.
"Well, well, well, look who decided to join us!" Gunwook said that familiar infuriating grin spreading across his face.
"Didn't think we'd see you out here."
"Just trying to survive," Hyebin replied, crossing her arms defensively. Gunwook laughed, and the sound was bright, cutting through the noise around them.
"Survive? Come on, we're here to thrive! You've gotta loosen up, Hyebin. Just a little." His playful challenge was making her heart race, though she tried to keep her stern mask on.
"And you're the expert on that, are you?" she shot back, her words sharper than she had intended. He held up his hands in mock surrender, his eyes glinting.
"Hey, I am trying to help. Would hate to see such a vibrant night wasted on homework." Hyebin opened her mouth to retort, but it was the truth that struck her instead. Maybe this wasn't just a night of chaos; maybe it was the chance to step away from her endless responsibilities, even if just for a moment.
Gunwook POV:
As he watched Hyebin's expression change from irritation to contemplation, a wave of hope washed over Gunwook. He took one step closer and said in a soft voice that only she could hear,
"I know, school's tough. But you gotta balance things out. It is okay to have fun, even if it's with someone annoying."
Hyebin blinked, her defenses faltering. "Fun? With you?"
"Definitely. I promise not to bite," he teased, his grin wide. Hyebin couldn't help but smile back, though it was an involuntary movement.
"Fine, but only for a little while. I still have assignments to finish."
"Deal," he said, and in that moment, something shifted. The tension between them slowly began to unravel and expose a thread of something deeper, something exciting. As they made their way back onto the dance floor, Gunwook had a feeling tonight was about to change everything.
Hyebin POV:
When the beat dropped and Gunwook pulled her into the crowd of people, Hyebin was swept up by the exhilaration of it all. Somehow, this felt. right. She allowed the music to take her away from her cares for tonight.
"See? Isn't this better?" Gunwook shouted over the music, his eyes bright with excitement.
"Maybe," she acknowledged, her heart racing not only from the music but also from his nearness.
For the first time in a long while, Hyebin let herself enjoy the moment. They danced, they laughed, and in the mayhem, she felt a spark she had tried to ignore.
In the wild, electric atmosphere of surrounded friends and laughter, Hyebin realized that maybe, just maybe, Gunwook wasn't such a pest after all. And perhaps she could allow a little chaos into her well-ordered life.
