It was at the first rays of the sun, after a night which was invigorating for the young pirate, that he dried his clothes on a coconut tree trunk. The tree had been like this since the young man arrived. The tree had probably fallen due to strong gusts of wind.

Or even a tornado, who knows ?

Niki was busy finding a solution to get out of this situation in case the fishman didn't come back.

But other than feeding on small crustaceans that had washed up on the beach, he didn't have many options.

So Niki carefully watched the water, in case a fishtail, a little too big for a simple fish, appeared.

He imagined telling his late comrades on the ship the adventure he had just experienced. They wouldn't have believed me, he thought.

Seeing a mermaid was far from common.

Especially since they were said to bring bad luck.

The vision of a mermaid rhymed more accurately with the death of a pirate.

Well, it was just a rumor, just a little legend among many others.

And this mermaid had saved his life.

This man was to him nothing other than an angel who came down from heaven, or rather from the seas.

Niki was convinced that it was by the will of the gods that this mythical creature met him. He was now thirsty to see him again. Thirsty to thank him.

Thirsty for his company.

Niki had dozed off on the stone, the sounds of the waves sounding like a lullaby to his ears, his peaceful sleep had quickly returned.

It was in this calm position and the unconsciousness of his surroundings that the mermaid resurfaced.

Initially reluctant to approach the man, his curiosity took over when he realized that the human was sleeping.

He took the opportunity to approach. His elbows and forearms rested on the stone, keeping the white-haired man out of the water.

Its upper body was outside, its waist and its long sea creature tail was underwater, as if hidden.

The mermaid looked in detail at the sweet face of the sleeping sailor.

His dark brown hair moved in the slight breeze of the wind, freeing his closed eyes. He was shirtless. His hands resting on his stomach, tanning nicely in the light sun.

He found him beautiful like that.

His fleshy lips slightly parted, reflecting a good sleep.

The merman smiled.

His smooth, milky skin screamed for her to touch him.

With a still wet finger, the mermaid delicately traced the young man's features. Discovering through simple brushing the nature of his skin, rougher than his own.

For his part, the pirate couldn't help but smile at the caresses he felt on his face. He had woken up by these little tickles.

His mind conscious, he suspected that this sensation came neither from the wind nor from his hair.

The human opened his eyes slowly, the mermaid stepped back.

"Good morning" Niki said, whispering with a small smile on his lips.

He didn't want the creature to run away again.

He slowly got up, turning with his stomach facing the ground. He remained lying down and took his time so as not to make any sudden movements.
