" ..keru "
I suddenly heard some words from near me. They were getting louder and louder.
" ..keru! "
It sounded like they were far away but still very close. It was strange, how did I go from in front of my father to hearing distant yet close words?
" Kakeru!! "
Now that explains it. I opened my eyes and saw the image of a screen in front of me. The TV was on and I fell asleep watching it. I looked to my right side and saw the woman who's been livin' with me for a long time, shaking my shoulder to wake me up.
" Finally, gosh! You were sleeping so profoundly that I thought you died "
" What do you want? "
I responded in my usual way. Uninterested, bored and as if I was her boss.
" Dinner. It's ready "
" Right, it's finally done " I said, implying that she took too long
" Well, it couldn't be helped! I cut my finger while making it, see? " she said, proudly showing me her injured finger with a smug grin
" I told you to be more careful. Come with me "
" It's fine, it's fine~ It's just a little cut, you should go eat, Kakeru "
" It can wait " I said, without a hint of hesitation in my voice
I dragged her by the hand with me towards my room. On the way there, I quickly glanced towards the kitchen, as the image from my dream flashed back into my mind.
" Seriously, Kakeru, I'm fine. You should go eat "
I snapped back to reality quickly however.
" Shut it "
We made our way towards my room, as I then proceeded to take something from under my desk.
" Sit there " I ordered
She obliged and took her seat on the only chair in my room. It was close enough to my bed, which I sat down on. I took her hand with the injured finger and disinfected the wound. I was doing it for the first time ever, but I've seen her doing in a lot of times, so I had a somewhat of an idea.
Although, I probably poured more than I should've, she didn't scold me or made fun of it.
I then took some bandages and put it on the wound.
As I was doing that, I sneaked a quick glance at her. She wore a pure and genuine smile on her face. A smile of kindness.
" What the hell are you grinnin' like that for? " I asked as soon as I noticed
" Well~ It's like the roles are reversed, don'tchu think so?~ "
" Huh? "
" It's usually me who is doing that for you, isn't it?~ You do get into a lot of fights, after all. Well, that was in the past, you rarely get injured now "
I scoffed at her response, as I then made my way towards the kitchen, leaving her alone in my room.
It couldn't be helped. I get into fights mostly because of my behavior and my boredom. Not to mention the way my hair and my appearance is. A purple and long dyed hair, with a face that screams violence. Some pick a fight because of my long hair. Others because of my hair's color.
But, well, it's not like I'm a saint. I pick fights with whoever and with no reason at all. It's the way this world works. The weak trembles at the bottom while the strong stays at the top, it's actually really simple.
