I had to go because I felt a little too comfortable with shuichi and I didn't wanna cause anything else..  it's just too much for me to handle.

I hesitated to tell Shuichi "Hey.. Shuichi, I'm gonna get going now." Shuichi looked at me for a second then spoke up "Oh.. alright–" he didn't finish his sentence but I left attention door almost immediately.

I was walking on the sidewalk with my phone and regretting how I left without saying bye to Shuichi or hearing him out.

I heard familiar footsteps and someone called out my name "Kokichi.." Shuichi said as he panted, is he okay? What was he doing that made him pant?

"Oh hey Shuichi, whats the matter?" I asked seeming confused and a little concerned for a moment "I.. I just want to say something to you" Shuichi said.

I was a bit nervous.. what was he gonna say? That he doesn't wanna be my friend anymore..? No, no, no.. can't be that.!

Shuichi coached his breath and held my shoulder "I know this is stupid to do outside but.. Kokichi.. I think... I like you." Shuichi said as nervously waited for my reply.

I was shocked, I was blushing and was filled with excitement and happiness  "Shuichi.. I like you too." I said as it was quite awkward.

Shuichis eyes widen then he pulled me close and held my waist gently and soft "Wait really?" Shuichi said, trying to get a honest answer and so it wasn't a joke.

"Yes, I do like you, Shuichi.." I hugged Shuichi and I was a still blushing from today, Shuichi finally asked me out! I'm happy that he confessed.

Shuichi said he had to go and he was gonna call me later, I nodded and he left, I checked back to see if he was gone and I squealed and jumped around.

I calmed myself down and finally made it home, Maki called me and i answered "Hey–" I said but Maki cut me off.

"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? WHY WERE YOU STILL AT SHUICHIS HOUSE?" Maki asked with a sudden burst of anger. I flinched because I didn't know she would yell at me on the phone.

"I was just chilling there.. calm down." I said asi tried to calm her down and soothe her but I dont think it would work in my opinion..

"Were u guys doing anything?" Maki askedagain sounding really curious and impatient for the answer she gave me, "No, we were just watching TV" I said in a casual tone.

Maki seemed to believe me "Okay fine, I believe you, bye now." Maki said and she had to leave and 8 was confused but I said bye to her and she hanged up the phone.

I was still blushing about how Shuichi asked me out and i was still pretty happy about it and wanted to jump to the moon already.!
