chapter 6

Lucas's pov:

"I'm no hero I was just saving people in a home I lived in for a little they deserved that much" I looked at my hands not really wanting to talk about this "your a hero kid you saved people before we even got there to save the rest and you, you helped us do our job knowing you could die. You have the spirit of a fire fighter" I looked up at Vic and nodded then the chief walked in and I looked at her

"Lucas you did amazing that day I mean I was annoyed you didn't listen to us but you did good you'll be a great fire fighter some day" I smiled then looked at Maya "are you okay?" Maya nodded and smiled softly "I'll be fine Lucas your not losing anymore family" I nodded and looked at the rest "19 was always my favorite station I looked up to you guys as a kid, and I do wanna be a fire fighter it's why I keep in shape so much I wanna help people like you guys" Travis gasped and the rest kinda chuckled and I looked at him "of course you liked us we are the best station well were but they still are with Andy and Maya there" I laughed a little "crisis one has taken off a lot I'm proud of Vic and you you guys have done well and the girls fire fighter camp is going well too along with the clinic the clinic that helped me find those two" I said pointing to Carina and Maya the rest smiled and I stood up "I'm gonna go find doctor Shepherd I'll be back later"

I ran out to look for Amelia so I ran to the floor her office was on and knocked on the door waiting for a come in and once I heard it I walked in and she instantly smiled "Lucas your here teddy told me you were here" I nodded and smiled then closes the door and walked to her hugging her "I'm here with Maya and Carina they are planning to adopt me so I'm staying with them for awhile" she looked a little shocked  "they only ever wanted three kids didn't expect them to have another but that's great Lucas they are amazing parents" I nodded smiling "I wanted to see you Amelia it's been months I'm surprised any of You remember me" she chuckled and looked around then back at me "the rest want to see you do you wanna go see them" I nodded and we both left her office and wemt to baileys

Once we got to baileys I hugged the rest and said hi "teddy told us you were here with Maya" I smiled and looked at teddy then back at Bailey "yea they are planning to adopted me and I met your husband today Bailey, Ben is very nice apparently they are here for a 19 reunion so I went to see Amelia so they had time alone. You know didn't wanna ruin their reunion and all" Bailey smiled and nodded then Owen spoke up "you could never ruin that they looked amazed by you what did you do" I nodded and looked at them "I saved 20 people from a fire um but 15 of them were after 19 arrived it was like a year ago so its not a big deal" teddy put her hand on my shoulder "i helped you that day after 19 brought you in and trust me that was amazing lucas you did amazimg that day"

I looked down "I passed out tho I failed fire fighters don't pass out on the job" Jackson who was visiting that day sighed "Lucas buddy your not a fire fighter yet your a kid and you saved 20 people that was half the people in that building and you did that without a mask or oxygen most of 19 can't even do that but you did you must have great breath control" I nodded and looked down remember why I had such great control over my breath and I think they noticed because they eye looked concerned "yea just foster stuff it's not a big deal Doctors I'm fine but I should go see Maya and Carina" they nodded and said their goodbyes and I said bye then ran out
