chapter 7

Lucas's pov:

I ran into the room Maya was in and everyone looked at me "sorry I saw Dr. Shepherd then the rest so I came back late um I'm sorry I'll take any punishment you give me" Maya and Carina looked at me confused "Lucas why would we punish you for seeing friends also why are your only friends adults" Carina asked me and I shrugged "i don't know, probably because they are the only ones who will talk to me" they nodded and then Jack spoke up "how about we take Lucas out and you get some rest maya while Andy goes and leads your team" Maya nodded and we left Carina and Maya in the room alone

We left the hospital and I walked with Vic to her car where Travis also was going and they looked at the group "Maya's house we'll take Lucas there" the rest nodded then I got in the car with Vic and Travis and Vic started the car up and drove off "so Vic how is the traveling going with Travis" she chuckled a bit then answered me "fine Travis is great company" Travis laughed and I chuckled a bit "hey Vic loves me and I'm sure you'll love us too we are very fun so how about we get you some ice cream" I smiled "no I wanna get to Maya and carina's home"

After we talked for a while we arrived at the house  and I just got out and went straight to the house and the team followed me in "so you saw my wife Miranda?" I nodded "yea she's um she was one of my doctors at one point" they all looked at me concerned at me and I shrugged it off "want food i can make something" they all nodded and i ran to the kitchen and started to cook some food for them all

After I finished cooking I dished them all up then dished myself up and that's when their kids got home so I got them some food too and we all sat down and ate while laughing and talking. After a couple hours Andy arrived with Maya and Carina "we saved you some food if you guys want some" "is it gonna make us sick?" Carina asked and I looked confused while Maya looked a little guilty "no, I cook lasagna all the way through" she nodded then got some same with Maya and Andy and they sat down with us while I helped their daughters with homework and Vic helped Liam with his "no you have to subtract that one and add this one to get the correct answer it's how this works" I was explaining the math problem to andrea and she nodded so I went to gianna and looks at her coloring "thats super nice who is it of?" She looked up at me and smiled "the family that's mom Maya and momma Carina then Liam and Andrea then you and me" I smiled softly "I'm not a part of the family yet and it's been one day" she pouted then andrea tapped my shoulder so i looked at her "what?" She pointed to a problem and I looked at it then smiled and explained it to her then Vic called my name

"Vic I can't help them all and Gianna the picture is amazing thank you for adding me" Liam then sighed so I got up and walked over to him and looked at his math "oh your doing this okay well I'll explain it to you" I explained the math too him while Vic and the rest just watched and once I finished I went back to my sit and helped Andrea with her math

After an hour of helping with homework I sighed and slumped on the couch with my eyes closed and before I knew it I was asleep on the couch
