Y/n's POV

I've spent the past two years at Japan General Hospital, my life confined within these white walls and the constant hum of medical equipment. It wasn't supposed to be like this; I'd envisioned my twenties full of adventures and excitement, not endless treatments and hospital rooms. But life had other plans.

The hospital had become my second home, each day blending into the next with a routine that offered little respite. My days were a mix of tests, treatments, and waiting—moments of stillness broken only by the occasional visit from friends and family who tried their best to lift my spirits. Sometimes, the monotony of it all felt suffocating.

But then there were moments like today, when I sought refuge in the hospital garden, hoping to find a sliver of normalcy amidst the chaos. The garden was my sanctuary, a place where the sun's rays and the gentle breeze offered a fleeting sense of freedom. It was here, in this small patch of tranquility, that I tried to find solace and escape the relentless cycle of my medical routine.

As I found a bench and settled down, I noticed a woman sitting a few feet away. She was struggling with a bowl of halo-halo, her attempts to eat it turning into a comedy of errors. Her spoon slipped, sending a splash of ice cream right onto her cheek. She looked around, clearly mortified.

Suppressing a laugh, I decided to approach her. "Ang kalat mo naman kumain Ms."

The woman looked up, her cheeks matching the pink hue of the halo-halo. Her eyes, a striking shade of brown, were framed by dark brows, and her dark, wavy hair cascaded around her shoulders. Her delicate features and lively expression hinted at a personality full of spirit.

"Wag ka nga tumawa! Ang hirap kaya kumain habang may sakit," she said, her voice a mix of frustration and annoyance.

I raised an eyebrow, unable to hold back a smirk.

"Excuse me wag mo idamay ibang tao dito sabihin mo na lang magulo ka talaga kumain tsaka tignan mo mukha mo parang may tinga na," I teased grinning while crossing my arms.

"Aba kung makasalita to parang mayaman" she retorted.

"Well atleast I'm not ganto kagulo kumain" I replied with a smirk.

She huffed, clearly annoyed. I couldn't help but laugh at her fiery response.

A nurse passed by and glanced at us, raising an eyebrow at our banter.

Her eyes widened as she looked at me. "Kita mo, pati nurse napipilitang sumali sa away natin."

I shot back, smirking.

Eh ikaw nga to nang aasar sakin eh!" She said, rolling her eyes. She said giving me a teasing look

I raised an eyebrow. "Ano? Ako? May gusto sayo? Edi wow ang feeling mo." I look away not wanting to see her reaction and I heard her chuckle

She grinned mischievously.

I laughed, shaking my head.

She chuckled, clearly enjoying our playful exchange.

Before I could say a word the nurse pass right in front of me helping the woman to get up from her seat "Ms. Y/n, mauna na kami ni Ms. Aiah balik ka muna sa kwarto mo papunta na sayo mamaya si Dr.Vergara" I sigh and nod as I watch them walk away

The patient woman who name to be Aiah turns her back just to look at me and she stick out her tounge out giving me her most annoying teasing look

I muttered under my breath and as I get up from my seat and left the garden.
