I let myself fall on my bed without any effort, like a tossed ragged doll landing face first into the pillow. I moved my head so I could breathe and eventually turned onto my back staring at my ceiling.

I could feel the heat rising in my cheeks as I thought about it and butterflies fluttering in my stomach. I couldn't move.
