Chapter 2

Noah's p.o.v

It's been a few days since Dani moved in, and sophomore year of college has started. I've been making sure I'm not left alone with her, working overtime to. But I've failed on some accounts like now for instance. Currently Dani and I are in the front room/ kitchen. She's sitting at the counter studying as I'm laying on the couch. I'm supposed to be watching tv, but I keep turning my head to look at her.

She was wearing loose shorts and a oversized hoodie. That was...... mine? "Hey ell?" I say, getting her attention. She turned her head. "Yes" she smiled. Gosh, her smile is so beautiful. What was I saying, oh yeah. "Is that my hoodie I lent you a while ago?" I ask, smirking a bit. As got up to walk to her.

"Maybe" she giggled, as I smiled, looking into her eyes. "You ever gonna give it back?" I ask, leaning my face closely to hers. "Do I have too" she replies, giggling. "Just cause it's you, I suppose I don't need at the moment" I claim, giving into what she wanted. "Why, thank you Noah" she smiles. The front door swings open, revealing Zoe and Desiree. "Dani!" Desiree squeaks, as I moved over to go and sit back on the couch.

Zoe making sex eyes at me the entire time. I can't help but and laugh at her behavior. "What, Desiree?" Dani giggled. "She's excited because Hunter is having a party on Saturday" Zoe says, turning her attention from me. I just pretend to be on my phone, continuing to listen to their conversation.

"Okay, he does this like every week" Dani, duhs. "Exactly what I said" Zoe, states, slumping onto the chair next to Dani. "Okay, yeah, whatever. But I'm just saying, I'm excited!" Desiree, claims, hyper. "Well you know what I'm going for" Zoe, laughs. "The guys!" Both Dani and Desiree say in sync.

Zoe just rolled her eyes. As they laughed. "Well I'm going so I can pick an outfit!" Desiree squeaked. As Dani went back to focusing on her assignment. "Isn't it boring being in a relationship?" Zoe snickers, randomly. "No, it isn't, especially when your In love" Dani replied. For some reason that jabbed me. "No, of course it isn't, especially when he's giving it to you on a regular basis" Desiree laughs. Making me wanna chop off my ears. "Please, Dez. I don't wanna hear nothing about you and your love life" I said, disgusted, at what I heard.

Desiree has been dating this guy, Austin. I mean he's alright, I guess. But she chose him, so it's whatever. They all to giggled at my disgust. "I guess I'm not built for a all that" Zoe replied, indifferent. "Okay, guys. I have to focus" Dani claims. "I'll see you tomorrow" she smiles. Zoe rolls her eyes, and Desiree jumps to hug her. "Bye Dani!" She squeals, leaving. "Bye girl" Zoe says, trailing behind Desiree. Like 10 minutes after they leave, Dani gets up and stretches.

"What yah doing?" she asks, chipper. Leaning over the back of the couch. "Nothing, but probably should be studying like you are" I say skeptical. She groans, pushing of the couch. "Yes, I'll get back to it" she claims, dramatically. I just laughed at her. We sit in silence for a little bit. "Uhm, what do you think about relationships?" She asks, out of the blue. I turn to her, trying to scan her face. Her face became red as if she was embarrassed. "I uhm, that was a stupid question.... I mean- you don't have to answer that" she stammered, waving her hands in front of her face. I chuckled at her franticness. "No, I'll answer it" i claimed, but before I could. Mason walked in.

"Oh, hey babe" she says. With her expression calming down. "Hey" he says dryly, kissing her. I turned around, I didn't wanna see him touch her, let alone kiss her. He whispers something in her ear, making her chuckle nervously. They then go into their room, to have sex. At least that's what I assume. I know I don't wanna stick around to find out. "I gotta get out of here" I sigh, picking up my phone and leaving........

I drove to Luke's place, because I knew he'd be up to nothing. I'm sitting on his couch in his front room/kitchen. "Why you ain't at your own place?" He questions, as i lit a cigarette. He was sitting on his counter."I just don't wanna hear anything I shouldn't" I claim, truthfully. I mean it is the truth, I don't wanna hear her screaming out his gosh fucking name! "It sucks living with a couple, doesn't it" Luke laughs. "Fuck off" i sneered, blowing smoke into the air. "Shit, my bad. I forgot you be feeling Dani sometimes" Luke, chuckles. Causing me to snap my head his way

"If you don't get off your fucking train of delusion" I griped, cause he's pissing me off. "Damn, sorry I pay attention" he says, throwing his hands up In defense. "Well your head needs to checked out, because to me Dani is just Dani" i claimed, getting up. "Yeah, nice, sexy, gorgeous Dani" he smirks, trying to hold in a laugh. Making me glare at him, unamused. "I came over here to get away from Dani and Mason. But you can't seem to not talk about them" I said, grabbing my keys and jacket.

"No, I'm not talking about Mason. I'm talking about how your attracted to his girlfriend" he snickers. "Fuck you Luke, I'm leaving" I said, dryly, beginning to leave. "Bro, I'm just kidding. You know I like aggravating you all" he claims, laughing. "Yeah, yeah" I say, still heading out the door. "But see, I hit a nerve" I hear him yell. As I shut the door.......

A few hours later, I went back to my apartment. I don't know what time it was, but I know it was the AM's. I opened the front door, and walked to the kitchen to get some water. I took the cup of water and went to sit on the couch. I stopped before I sat. Realizing Dani was sleeping their. Why was she out here, instead of her room? She looked peaceful and delicate as she bent her legs under her blanket.

I didn't wanna wake her, but she should probably sleep in a bed. I leaned over to her ear. "Ell?" I whispered, causing her to turn her head. Our faces, barely 2 inches apart. I caught myself staring into her beautiful shimmering green eyes, that had slight strands of gold. "Ugh, my bad" I claim backing away, pulling myself together. "No, it's fine" she smiled, moving into a sitting position, so I could sit. "Why are you out here?" I asked, as she shakes the sleepyness off. How can she make everything look adorable.

"You weren't answering your phone, so I got worried, and went out looking for you. But then I realized I didn't even know where to begin. So I decided to come back here and wait for you" she trailed on, as she smiled. Wow, I didn't know she cared like that. "How cute" I involuntarily mumbled, while looking at the ground, slightly smiling. I quickly looked at her, realizing what I said. Her face was red, embarrassed. I couldn't help but chuckle a little.

"Don't..... say things like that" she mumbles, looking away. I scoffed a bit, I didn't know I could make her react that way. "Sorry, it just came out" I truthfully tell her. "Well I was worried, goodnight!" She says quickly, shooting up in a standing position. Still sounding embarrassed. I stood up to, I leaned over to her ear. "Goodnight Ell" I whispered, smiling. I then brushed past her. "See you tomorrow" she says quickly, chipper. Closing her room door.
