"This trail is beautiful" Dani acknowledged, gently running her fingers over the vibrant colors the flower petals displayed. We're walking along a path with trees and flowers surrounding it. A very beautiful scenery. My steps lingered behind her. My hands in my pockets, my hand clutching onto a tiny red velvet box. A beautiful diamond ring inside. I inhaled a shaky breath trying to gather the courage to propose, my heart was racing extremely fast.
"Babe, you okay?" Dani's honeyed voice echoed, pulling me out of thought. The bright smile on her face makes me so gleeful. I inhaled and got on one knee. "Babe?" Dani said in a surprised tone, her eyes slightly widened. "Ell I- ugh shit" I mumbled, stumbling over my words, trying to get it together. I could hear Dani trying to muffle her giggle, which only made me more nervous.
I inhaled once more and looked up at her, her gorgeous smile and her shimmering eyes sent a shiver through my body. Her now waist length wavy blonde hair flowing freely. I sucked in one last deep breath before gaining some confidence.
"You are the love of my life, my always and forever, Dani I want to be with you forever. Danielle Victoria Monroe, will you make me the luckiest man alive and make my life complete by saying yes. Dani will you marry me?" I confidently voiced as I pulled out the box to show her the diamond ring. Her face was a bright red a she gleefully smiled. But her continued silence was sending a wave of uncertainty over me.
"Ell?" I said a bit nervously. She pffted and said "Wait" she then sauntered off in the direction of our car. I was confused and a bit afraid of why she didn't answer yet. She came skipping back over with something incases between her palms. I stood up confused by her giddy expression.
"Noah Issac Montgomery, I love you and I wanna be with you every day of my life. I wanna share every single moment with you. So will you marry me" she genuinely proclaimed, surprising me and making me smile. She opened her hands showcasing a little black box with a ring inside it.
"You were gonna propose too?" I laughed, making her giggle. "I was nervous" she admitted, I pffted grabbing her hand. "I'd love to marry you, but I asked first. So say yes" I told her, moving my hand to caress her rosie cheek. She giggled, her honeyed laugh has to be the best sound in the world. Her shimmering chartreuse eyes sparkling with love and affection. "Yes, I'll marry you" she joyfully answered, jumping up and placing a short but deep kiss onto my lips.
We pulled apart and I slid the ring onto her finger, she did the same for me. I pulled her closer and picked her up. Carrying her bridal style. "Gosh, we're getting married" I smiled, pecking her pink lips. "We're getting married" she giggled, placing a deep, passionate and longer kiss onto my lips.
