As the last of the guests departed from Liam's wedding venue, Liam and Alex walked hand in hand, their expressions innocent and composed. They had played their roles to perfection, and now it was time to confront the one who had tried to tear them apart. After ensuring the guests were safely escorted out and their innocence firmly established, they headed back to Liam's gang headquarters. The air between them was thick with anticipation; they both knew what awaited them.

When they arrived, they were met with the sight they had expected. Veronica was in a state of hysterics, her voice hoarse from shouting and pleading with the guards to let her go. "Today is my wedding! You can't keep me here!" she screamed, her words falling on deaf ears.

The moment Liam and Alex entered the room, Veronica's eyes locked onto them. Desperation filled her gaze as she rushed toward them, her voice tinged with relief. "Liam! Alex! Please, help me! They've made a mistake!"

She reached out to Liam, but he sidestepped her attempt to touch him, his expression one of cold disdain. The disgust in his eyes was unmistakable, and Veronica's heart sank as she realized the truth. This wasn't a mistake; this was a carefully orchestrated plan.

"You planned this," she whispered, her voice trembling as the realization hit her. "You planned to kidnap me at our wedding so we wouldn't get married."

Liam didn't bother denying it. Instead, he smirked, a cruel satisfaction playing on his lips. "That's right."

Veronica's face twisted in rage. Her mind raced, searching for a way to lash out, to hurt someone, anyone. She knew she couldn't take on Liam, so she turned her fury toward Alex. With a feral scream, she lunged at him, her intentions clear—she wanted to kill him.

But Liam was faster. He intercepted her mid-charge, throwing her to the ground with a force that left her breathless. His voice, cold and filled with years of pent-up anger, echoed through the room. "You will wish for death, Veronica, but it won't come. I'll make sure of that. You'll see hell right here."

Veronica's body trembled uncontrollably as his words sank in. The icy reality of her situation clawed at her, shredding any hope she had left. When Liam told her that her family had already left for abroad, believing her to be a runaway bride, the last remnants of her strength crumbled. She collapsed to the floor, utterly defeated.

Watching her pathetic state, Alex stepped forward. He glanced at Liam, his eyes filled with a dark resolve. "I want to talk to her alone."

Liam hesitated, his protective instincts flaring up. He didn't want Alex to be alone with Veronica, not after everything she'd done. But Alex's request was firm, and after a moment, Liam relented. "You have five minutes," he warned, his voice stern. "No more."

As Liam left the room, Alex's demeanor shifted. The vulnerability he had shown a moment ago vanished, replaced by a cold, calculating presence. He approached Veronica, who was now on her knees, and grabbed her chin with a brutal grip. His smile was twisted, a reflection of the darkness that had been festering within him for months.

"You thought you could take Liam from me?" Alex hissed, his voice low and menacing. "You'll rot in this cell forever, and I'll make sure you know every beautiful moment Liam and I share while you're down here, struggling like a rat."

Veronica's eyes widened in terror as Alex's words sunk in. She began to scream, thrashing against his hold, but he simply let go and walked out, leaving her to spiral into madness.

As soon as he stepped out of the room, Alex wore his mask again and pretended to be weak again. He walked straight into Liam's arms, burying his face in Liam's chest seeking comfort. Liam was fully aware of Alex's act but loved this side of him so he played along, holding Alex close and whispering soothing words.

"We're done here," Liam said softly, kissing Alex's head. "Let's go somewhere just for us."

They left the headquarters and headed to their secret cabin, a secluded place where they could finally have peace after all the chaos. As they drove away, Liam made one last call to his men, instructing them to treat Veronica just as she deserved.

The cabin was a haven, hidden away from the world. Once they arrived, the tension of the past few days began to melt away. Liam and Alex found solace in each other's arms, finally able to breathe freely, knowing that their future was secured.

The nightmare was over, and now, they could start rebuilding their lives together, stronger and more united than ever.
