3RD P.O.V

Their footsteps moved in unison, crunching across the stony terrain of the cobblestone streets. They came to a stop in front of the towering, dilapidated hotel, a colossal structure adorned with a mishmash of random clutter and chaotic charm.

Y/N eyed the massive edifice, tracing its height from the ground up to the peak, before lowering his gaze to the cherubs who stood by, looking mildly uninterested and distinctly out of place.

"Wwooowww... this is uhm—...interesting," Keenie muttered, a nervous chuckle escaping his lips.

"Keenie," Y/N interrupted with a note of warning in his voice.

"I mean, is there noooo other way we can, like, y'know... go back to the apartment?" Keenie scratched the back of her head, her discomfort evident.

"Keenie," Y/N repeated, his patience thinning. "I mean—was the apartment REAALLY that ba—"

"Jesus Christ, Keenie," Y/N snapped. "Charlie offered, and that means I won't have to worry about rent."

"But—but you're a whole assassin, Y/N," Collin stammered, pressing his fingertips together anxiously. "There shouldn't be a problem. There's no way y-you don't get paid a ton..."

"My boss spends it all on edibles shaped like horses," Y/N deadpanned.

"W-Wow!.... w-what a... great way of spending it?" Collin replied awkwardly before footsteps approached the group. Y/N turned his head, eyes narrowing at the figure coming towards them.

"Hey, Salem," he greeted, crossing his arms. Salem had a cigarette dangling from his lips, pulling it away to blow smoke into the night sky.

"What happened to '9 PM'?" Salem asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I went out for drinks," Y/N responded firmly. Salem nodded, shrugging slightly.

"Cool. Charlie's waiting for you guys. Come on," he said, turning on his heel and heading towards the hotel doors. Y/N looked to the cherubs, who gazed back at him with uncertainty.

"Before we go," Y/N whispered, "remember: you guys are my children. Act like it for me. We can't let them know you're angels, especially not Alastor. If it comes down to it, Angel is the only one who knows—and Charlie might be alright to tell."

They all nodded in unison, and Cletus nudged Y/N playfully. "Don't worry yourself, Y/N! We're really good with secrets, trust us!"

Y/N stayed silent for a moment, then sighed and nodded. "Alright," he agreed, standing tall and walking towards the double doors of the hotel with his 'children' in tow.

As Y/N approached the wooden doors, Salem was leaning against the wall, smoking the same cigarette. His eyes lazily dragged over to Y/N as he stepped away from the wall, flicking the cigarette to the ground and stomping it out.

Y/N didn't look at him, but Salem studied him closely. As they walked side by side, Salem leaned in and whispered, "I'll accept you."

"But if you even try to touch a hair on anyone here...."
