The mood at the campus was bittersweet as the agents prepared to leave. Ren had announced that they would depart early the next morning for their headquarters. It was a necessary move, but it cast a shadow over the sense of celebration that permeated the campus. In the afternoon, despite the somber undertone, everyone gathered in different corners of the campus to celebrate their survival and the end of the immediate threat.

The courtyard buzzed with activity. There were small parties, laughter, and a sense of camaraderie as agents and allies mingled, trying to savor their brief respite from the chaos. Joseph, ever the instigator of fun, approached the group of girls who were huddled together, discussing the events of the past few months.

"Hey, Zeo," Joseph said with a grin, "I was thinking, since we're leaving tomorrow, how about we take a break and explore the town? Maybe we could use some fresh air and a little fun."

Zeo, her spirits lifted by the suggestion, looked intrigued. "Are you suggesting we go on a date?"

Joseph nodded, his grin widening. "Exactly. A chance to unwind before we head back to the grind. What do you say?"

Zeo hesitated for a moment, then agreed. "Alright, Joseph. Let's do it."

As night fell, Zeo and Joseph strolled through the quiet streets of the town. The moon cast a soft glow, and the world seemed to slow down around them. They talked and laughed, enjoying the simple pleasure of each other's company. The evening felt like a small reprieve from the burdens they all carried.

Their return to the campus was timed poorly, as they encountered Ren in the dimly lit corridors. Ren's keen eyes noticed their late arrival, and he scrutinized them with a mixture of suspicion and concern. "Where have you two been?" he asked, his voice firm.

Zeo froze, caught off guard. "We... we just took a walk around the town."

Ren's gaze narrowed. "You know you were restricted to the campus. Is there something you're not telling me?"

Before Zeo could respond, Ayumu appeared, his presence almost serene despite the tension. His eyes, filled with an unsettling depth, met Zeo's. Without a word, he reached out, his mind probing for the truth. Zeo's resistance crumbled under his mental scrutiny.

Ren watched as Zeo's resolve shattered, her shoulders slumping in defeat. "We were just trying to get away for a while," she confessed quietly. "I didn't mean to break any rules."

Ren's expression shifted from suspicion to disappointment. "Zeo, you're changing. This isn't like you. I expected better."

Zeo's eyes welled up with tears as the weight of Ren's words hit her. She tried to hold back her sobs but couldn't. The harsh reality of her situation, compounded by Ren's disappointment, was too much to bear. She turned and fled to her room, slamming the door behind her.

Joseph and Sindy, having witnessed the confrontation, immediately went to Zeo's door. They knocked gently, calling out to her. "Zeo, please open the door," Joseph said, his voice filled with concern. "We're worried about you."

But Zeo didn't respond. Hours passed, and they continued their vigil outside her door, their own exhaustion growing.

By morning, when Ren inquired about Zeo's absence, Joseph and Sindy explained their concern. "We were just worried about her," Joseph said. "She's been through so much, and we didn't want to leave her alone."

Ren listened, his face reflecting a mix of frustration and understanding. "She's trying to turn into a better version of herself. And so should you all, instead of wasting your time here."

As the sun rose and the time to depart approached, the agents prepared to mount their horses. The mood was subdued but resolute. Joseph, riding alongside Zeo, glanced at her with a hopeful expression. "Will you change?" he asked gently.
