Zulaid held Inara's hand as they both strolled the beach. He entertained their fingers and passed her a smile that was exclusive to her.
"It's so peaceful here" Inara murmured, moving her hair behind her ear that were fluttering in the air.
"Hm because it's not much noisy" Zulaid looked around. He could only catch a glimpse of a few people.
"Yeah no hustle here unlike the work place" She remembered the busy corridors of the hospital.
"You are so done with the hospital" He commented.
"I do" She didn't deny.
Inara's house job just ended a few days ago and two days ago they had flown to Bahamas. He wanted to provide her the much needed trip she yearned throughout the year.
Now, away from the hustle of the world they were alone at a beach with hands in hands feeling nothing but peace and happiness.
"Inara!" He called her seriously.
"Yes" She looked at him.
"I am afraid with this much less interest in your profession you can face many problems in the future. So it's best that you make a decision now!" He stopped at his place and she followed.
"What do you mean by making a decision?" She looked into his eyes.
"It means you should decide either you want to carry on practice, or go for teaching or you want to leave medicine completely" He solved the puzzle effortlessly.
"You can't be serious" She laughed lightly.
"No, I am very serious" He didn't laugh.
"You can't just ask me to leave the profession for which I wasted seven important years of my life" She minded his words.
"Look sweetheart-" He rested his hand on hers he was already holding.
"Don't sweetheart me" She asked him seriously.
"Relax!!!" He replied.
She removed her hand from his hold silently and took a few steps in haste. He didn't move behind her for a minute and gave her the much needed space to calm herself otherwise it would have turned into an ugly argument which Zulaid didn't want on a vacation.
"Inara! I didn't mean that" He stood behind her.
"Sorry!" She turned towards him and asked softly.
"It's okay" He blinked his eyes to assure her.
"I just meant that if you don't want to continue then you shouldn't feel pressurized to be in a place you don't want to" He told her simply.
"Is there even a point of leaving now?" She asked calmly this time.
"Why not" He shrugged his shoulders.
"I have wasted my years for this profession-"
"And you can't waste your whole life for it" He cut off in the middle.
"It's better to make a decision at the right time instead of crying for your whole life. You won't be happy in this field and we both know it. I know how much you struggled in the past one year. I know everything.
You weren't happy to be at this place for not even a single day. You didn't enjoy this period. You wanted it to end and at one day it has to be ended but whatever you would do next won't have an ending" He explained it to her gently about the hardships she could face in her training.
