payback /ˈpeɪbak/ — a way to get even with someone; revenge

The way he was watching her sent shivers down her spine. He was perfectly still, legs crossed over on the bed, the book she'd teased him with months ago resting on his lap.

"You can't be serious," she whispered. "There's kids sleeping above us. The walls are made of wood."

"I guess you'll have to be quiet."

     "Levi—"

     "Belt or rope?"

"What does that even mean?" she whimpered powerlessly, completely unable to comprehend that he was serious.

"You know exactly what it means," Levi countered, his voice still calm. "In the scene you read to me, he tied her arms with a belt. In the scene a few chapters later, he uses a rope. It is said the belt hurts the wrists more, but the woman in the book liked it." His eyes darkened the more Reinae's cheeks flushed. "I'm not quite sure what you'd prefer, so I'm giving you a choice—the only one tonight. Belt or rope?"

She stared at him for a long time, waiting for him to break the act. He didn't.

     Fine, she thought. I'll bite.

     "Belt."

Levi's eyes flashed, the corner of his lips twitching. He stood from the bed in one smooth motion, stalking towards her with a gaze that made her body heat up instantly.

"Are you sure?" Gods, his voice, guttural and dark, was enough to make her wet.

"Are you?" She bit her lip to hide the shivering of her breath. "I don't think you're able to go through with that scene without busting."

"Don't tease me, brat," he growled. "It'll only make it harder for you."

"I like it hard," she purred, her hand grazing his crotch.

He grabbed her wrist and slammed it on the wall above her head, his face so close that their noses were touching.

"You'll regret saying that," he murmured and kissed her.

If there was ever a time she felt Levi was devouring her mouth, it didn't compare to now. He was kissing her so deeply, so roughly, that she didn't even have time to breathe, his grip on her wrist tight, his other hand on the back of her neck, holding her in place. She couldn't even follow the movements of his tongue, didn't even stand a chance of trying to fight for dominance. He was sucking the life out of her, and she became a puddle in his grip within seconds.

Levi was ready for what was to come. He was ready to hear her moan and beg and whimper—he had to be ready, or he really would bust before the time was right. But hearing her shaky breathing, feeling the way her knees wobbled, and how she gripped his arm for dear life sent blood pumping directly into his length, and he couldn't help but growl. She was a mess in his arms, her cheeks flushed, lips swollen, eyes turning so fucking hungry and bright with anticipation that he knew she'd make it as difficult for him as possible—without even trying.

But he was a man on a mission, and he'd be damned if he didn't see it through.

With great effort, Levi let go of his hold on her tongue, gently sucking on it as he backed away. He admired the mess of her, a smirk tugging on his lips immediately making her gaze defiant. Gods, he loved that defiance. But he'd fuck it out of her that night.

He lifted her, her breath hitching at the sudden movement. She wrapped her legs around him and hissed at the tight squeeze of his fingers on her ass. She leaned in to kiss him, but then he dropped her.
