| Chapter 11 |
Memories

MY HEAD IS spinning and I just know I look like death.

I got little to no sleep last night after I found out what my father was giving me. I couldn't even look at him during breakfast this morning and tried my best to avoid conversation with him.

After he left my room I did some more research on these pills and Rachel wasn't lying.

All my search concluded to one thing, they are a memory repressor.

I had looked into the symptoms and side effects that would happen if I had just stopped taking them, and this was one of them.

Major headaches.

It had also been stated that gradually my memories should start to come back to me, considering you have to take the pills on a consistent schedule for them to have an effect.

Even though I don't know how long I can get away with hiding them under my tongue and spitting them out once my father's leaves, I'm going to try my hardest.

I need answers and I need to know what really happened when I was a child. If he won't tell me that then I will go through the excruciating headaches to find out.

"Brook?" Rachel's hand comes into view as she waves it back and forth in-front of my face. "I've been calling you. Everything okay?"

I realize that I must've zoned out, all lost in my thoughts. My headspace is getting bad again, I can feel it, and I don't know if it has anything to do with not taking the pills but I don't think it does seeing as I've only been avoiding them for a day. The nightmares are a different story though.

Those have been getting worse and worse.

"Yeah sorry." I respond with a sigh.

"What happened with your dad last night." She takes her seat beside me as we wait for our professor to come in. "Did you comfort him."
