It was now the next week, and probably by design both myself and Aydon had dental appointments scheduled with Gabe back to back. I was just getting my braces tightened, and while the environment was stressful and I hated sitting in the chair, I knew what to expect.

Aydon however, was getting his braces put on, something he was very nervous about. We were sitting in our last class of the day, and I could tell he was freaking out by the way his knees were shaking and his face was paler than usual. I was also not feeling great about having to visit Gabe, but I had to hold it together for Aydon.

"Babes, everything is going to be okay." I said, pulling Aydon out of a trance, his eyes focusing on me.

I placed my hand on his knee, making him realize his nervous habit.

"I can't, Ari. I really can't..." Aydon spoke as his voice almost cracked. "I'm so scared."

I could feel my heart breaking for him, I knew what it was like to have this debilitating fear.

"Aydon, I promise you, you can do this. I was in the exact same situation a while ago, but everything turned out fine. Yeah, I have train tracks now, and it kind of sucks but it's not worth this much stress, love." I said, grabbing his hand. "And they're only temporary, just for a little bit and end the end you'll have a perfect smile."

Aydon let out a breath and gave me a shaky smile.

"I guess." He said quietly. "Thank you for being so supportive Ari. I've been a little bitch about the whole dentist thing but you've stuck around."

"Well it wouldn't be very nice to abandon you, now would it?" I said jokingly. "Not to mention it would make me a hypocrite as well, considering I'm not exactly a fan of the dentist either."

I shot him a grin, getting a small one in return. Some colour had returned to his face and I could tell that he was feeling better, even if it would be short lived. We both managed to make it through class without worrying too much, but by the time the bell rung, signalling the end of the day I could tell Aydon was once again anxious.

Apparently because of Aydon's 'history' with the dentist he wasn't trusted to walk to the office, even if I was there. Because of this, Miles was driving both myself and Aydon to Gabe's office, even though he couldn't stick around for Aydon's appointment. The plan was for Aydon and I to hang out after anyways, most likely catching a ride home with Xavier.

We made our way to Miles' car easily, Aydon sat in the front with his brother and I sat in the back seat for the short ride to the office.

We were about half way there when Miles started talking to his brother.

"Aydon do you have your meds with you?" Miles asked, glancing at his brother before focusing on the road again. Aydon shrugged in response, leaving his head against the window.

"Aydon can you please check?" Miles said sternly. "You better have your rescue meds with you otherwise we're going to have to stop at home."

I must have looked confused, as Miles began explaining to me.

"Aydon has a couple different anxiety meds for different purposes. One he takes every day to control his anxiety and it works in almost every situation. However, there are some situations, for example the dentist, where Aydon can get overwhelmed and he sometimes gets panic or anxiety attacks. In these situations, if he can't calm down then he can take his rescue meds, they are faster acting and stronger, they can help him calm down in that specific instance."

I nodded, showing that I understood what Miles had said.

"I have them." Aydon grumbled after searching in his bag.
