Hindi na ulit nagkita si Nana at Kasper sa mga sumunod na araw, though sobrang lapit lang nila sa isa't-isa, they kind of have that unofficial agreement na they should give each other a personal space. Kung may instances man na magkita, they would greet each other as if it were just any ordinary day.
Nana was content with that. Each dinner, she found herself wondering how Kasper was doing down there. Before she tucked herself into her new blanket, she would think of him having a good night, and it would bring her a sense of ease.
For three days, nasanay si Nana na tuwing gigising siya ang bintana niya ang unang titingnan. She'd see the same sunlight filtering through her partially open window.
Nana thought every day was anything but ordinary. With the life she had now, it felt like summer had just begun rather than at the start of March.
She always envisioned summer like this—filled with nostalgia, a warmth that enveloped her, and a feeling of something blossoming in her heart like never before.
Today, isang kraft bag ang iniwan sa harap ng pinto niya, there was a note that said,
"I delivered earlier today, so I brought this twisted donut. Sorry for not wanting to wake you. Just eat this when you wake up, okay?"
-Kash
His note was decorated with unnecessary drawn emojis and characters, yet Nana couldn't help but smile widely.
The other ones were a scented candle and a cookbook. Nasama 'yun sa mga household goods na inayos ni Nana sa buong kwarto, despite how small they were, it made the whole room feel complete.
