(William James Moriarty's POV)

The position of Lord is a truly heavy one, especially when your family isn't one that is considered one of the big 3 families and their factions.

The most influential one being the Aristocratic faction, led by count Marquis. He's an influential man, even more influential than the director but not quite as skilled nor cunning as him. Their belief is that authority over the Clock Tower should be handed over to those with noble bloodlines like theirs.

Tragically, this idea was supported by many people back in my time in the clock tower, god knows what changed now, though i am sure the Count still has control over the majority as usual with the El-Melloi, the Khun and Arie families by his side.

The second faction which is not as influential as the Aristocratic one is the Democratic faction, this one is led by the Christie family, their belief is that bloodlines should be discarded off and that talent and wit are the true scale of one's value. They're supported by lord Ciel and the current lady of the Animusphere family, Olga.

The last and final faction and the one i led is the Neutral faction, people who were with me cared not for either side's ideas, we simply kept to ourselves and worked on our own projects, my supporters were lord Brishisan himself, lady Ha and her family, lady Echidna and lord Umberto of the Science department.

While the largely slow conflict causes troubles at times, it remains a solid rule that such a conflict never gets in the way of the lords decisions, a mistake in their judgement could lead to a country's death and that's a weight that not many could understand.

For example...Our decision in erasing a certain family from Britannia's nobility has caused many great shifts in it's current aristocracy, the heat between the Silvas and Vermillions, the unnerving closeness between the young Paladin Argalia and Schneizel and also Schneizel's small secret project.

All of these things came to be because this family of "Willful traitors" were erased, their eccentric leader had so much influence and importance but our intervention for the sake of our own selfish desires ended up leading him straight to hell.

But for the play to progress...He needed to die, under the hands of the order of knights he and every last member of that family was erased from history through red flames.

The department of Lore keeps a few documents on what happened, though what most people don't know is that a member of that family survived...

I arrived at miss Aozaki's apartment quite early on in the morning, barely even a sound was present at the time, on the outside it's only birds and some stray cats.

And in the building it's complete silence aside from the buzzing of AC engines. I raised my hand at the door of the apartment and knocked three times.

Silence was all that met me, i knocked again.

Silence came in response once more, i sighed to myself as i knocked just a tiny bit more aggressively this time.

I heard from behind the door the faint sound of footsteps approaching, i smiled to myself slightly as they got closer.

The door opened and there she was, miss Aozaki in all her cranky morning glory...

"Liam...What the hell are you doing here at this hour?" she asked with a bothered tone in her voice to which i sighed as i shook my head in disappointment.

"Miss Aozaki did you forget our plans for today already? We're going to the IT room today" i said to which her eyes widened before she yawned and nodded.
