"You look upset, what's wrong?"

A A R N A
It's been quite some hours since I've been sleeping after being blessed with a grand welcome at the JK Mansion.
The jet lag didn't allow me to even sit in a place. I was feeling extremely unwell In the morning. I had nothing to do with this lavishly decorated guestroom, so I just strolled through my phone, and it was flooded with so many messages from my colleagues and friends.
My social media account was filled with the same number of unknown messages. They were In almost thousands after our wedding news was spread all over the country. It doesn't give me any such special feeling. Because I haven't seen him since we landed here in the early morning. He didn't even say a single word to me. Nothing.
I scroll through our wedding photos when I come across one in which Ma and Papa are on either side of me.
Ma. I smile reminiscing about the moment when she softly asked me to call her nothing but Ma. And Krish Sir said to call him Papa. I was so emotional at that moment that I nearly had tears flooded in my eyes.
I changed myself into a light green thin Saree to feel relaxed. Rubbing the thoughts aside, I got up from the bed and looked at myself in the long princess mirror.
A sigh of inner relief fills me with extreme gloriousness and smiles. My partition was filled with red vermillion, a nuptial chain around my neck, and hair tied in a bun as I corrected my Saree. Everything feels so new and changed. After I've been married, it feels like I've been given a chance to live a new life.
I've always wished for an arranged marriage where my husband will fulfil my wishes, and love me. . . Inhaling a deep breath I look around the room. It's the same room I stayed in six months ago. The room where Alara told me I should think about marrying her brother, where I cried, hugging the pillow because of his indecent act when he dragged me like an object into that apartment. It's all past now and I need to forget everything to start a new chapter with him.
I'm glad he isn't here. Because I seriously don't know how I will be able to match his grey dangerous orbs, his always-tightened fists, and the saddened look in his eyes. He has become my husband now, and I should be rather happy than nervous. But the fact that it's going to be my first night with him today. I will have to breathe in the same room as him. Share the bed, bathroom, closet, everything. All of the luggage is already been shifted there and I'm left with only my phone and nervousness to deal with. Alone.
However, Our wedding reception was postponed to next week; Vedat's grandfather was admitted to the hospital as Soon we landed in New York. Everyone had to rush there. It's almost evening and I don't have any idea when will they arrive.
The door knocks when I lift my gaze outside the open window.
Who it must be? Have they returned?
"I'm so sorry, Aarna dear. We had to leave all of a sudden."
Ma embraces me softly as soon I open the door. I'm flooded with lots of emotions right now. It feels surreal to have her beside me, as my mother. Someone to embrace me whenever I feel low.
I press a soft smile when she pulls back.
"It isn't a bother Ma. How's grandfather?"
She relives a sigh coming inside with a small velvet coloured bag.
"He's all okay now. In fact, he's been granted the discharge so Alara and Vedat won't be able to come for dinner tonight. They said a sincere apology to you."
