Day four. Miles laid back on the floor, his energy completely drained out. He should be getting used to it, but the overwhelming pain that surges in him everyday feels like a first every time. Just the thought of every zap, every slash and every kick that was sent to his limbs made his body throb like an after effect.
He sat in a corner, staring into nowhere. His heart palpitated at the sight of darkness and his Questcom ran out of energy. He had his hand over his mouth, sobbing quietly to numb the fear.
At times, he felt thankful their old ship was burnt to a crisp by the sun, because now that their new Zenith is bigger, all crewmates get to have their own rooms, so Miles doesn't have to hide under his blanket with a flashlight as a light source when he feels like he's being a burden to everyone.
He tried taking matters into his own hands by tugging on the chain on his leg with the remaining strength he had. It was all nothing but failure each attempt. He tried punching the wall which was connected to the chain that was attached to his leg. Not only did it not work, it left him with wounded and bleeding knuckles.
With every hope and dissatisfactory result, he could only hope for rescue.

With Loretta's help, Haruna managed to find the precise location of Nemesystems' Thundership. Mirandos used her Solidizers to create a holographic map that they could use. The three of them now stood at the hangar door, their Zenith parked in front of the Thundership. Loretta stood in front of Haruna and Mirandos, as she begins to explain their strategies.
"Here's the plan. Me and Haruna will go and find Miles. Mirandos, you stay on guard and keep watch. If we're not back with Miles within 5 hours, call for help."
As she expected, Mirandos opposed to the idea. "Loretta no, let me come with you guys, it's not safe!"
"Mirandos, if the three of us went, it'll be very risky. What if we all get caught? Who will call for help? The Zenith will lose power and will shut down, and we would probably take weeks to escape." Haruna then tried to tell her that right now she's the most reliable one to save Miles, and possibly Haruna and Loretta if they got caught.
Mirandos clenched her fists in worry, her head hung low. Loretta took those fists in her own, holding them up. The blue haired girl looked at her as she muttered a small "Please?" with her pleading eyes. "If not for him, for us?" She asked.
Unable to fight back, she sighed. "Fine. If anything happens, don't say I didn't warn you." Loretta simply grinned in response.
"Alright, enough romance, let's go." Haruna rolled his eyes in annoyance, pointing towards the open hangar door. Both the girls had a flushed face. "Go kill yourself." Loretta snarled at him.
"Tch, after what I just saw? Gladly." He replied sarcastically, as he walked towards the open hangar door, Loretta catching up. She turned behind and flashed a thumbs up at her best friend before heading to the Thundership with Haruna.
.
Blood.
He could only see blood on the floor.
Crimson red, more of it coming from his own mouth. So that's the source of all this mess.
Miles held his throat, hacking up more of his own blood, trying to breathe. Unable to cough anymore, he collapsed on the floor, clenching his fists.
Riona stood in front of him, her head pulsing with fury. "So this technology you speak of, where's it kept?" She asked, trying not to sound as deadly as possible.
"Huh..?" Miles craned his neck to look up at the woman. He squinted his eyes. "It's all up my ass." He said, smirking. Zap.
Riona was about to say something, but was immediately interrupted with Aggro's panicking. "What now, Aggro?" She yelled at him, irritated.
"Mission Force One has infiltrated the Thundership." Aggro reported, his metal eyebrows furrowed at the words. Miles widened his eyes in shock.
'They're here?' He thought.
Riona stood silent for a moment, before she smirked and started giggling. "Ooh, I didn't know I was up for an impromptu meeting!" She turned to face Miles, her face plastered with a sinister grin. "Aggro, keep an eye on him. I'm gonna greet our guests." She walked out the door.
The thought of her words agitated the boy. "You are going nowhere, get back here." Miles had his elbow on the floor, trying to get up. Zap. Fell back down.
"Oh Miles. I am indeed not going anywhere." She responded, not facing him. "Neither are your friends."
"Don't you dare hurt them!-" His words died down from the door closing.
.
Haruna and Loretta managed to break into the Thundership with the help of Haruna's suit ability to punch and break everything. The two of them were walking down the halls, Loretta studying Mirandos' holographic map that was installed into their Questcoms.
"The Thundership got a lot bigger compared to 5 years ago." She muttered. "According to the map, and Miles' Questcom signal, he should be way down... here." Emphasizing the word 'way', she pointed to the bottom of the Thundership on the map.
"Then I think we should split up, that way we'll cover the whole area." Haruna suggested, which Loretta disagreed with. "No need, we already have the map, finding him should be easy enough." She protested, to which he simply complied.
The two followed the routes on the given map, each floor having some sort of obstacles. We're talking in defense orbs, strikerbots and built in safety traps. With a little difficulty, they managed to overcome them with their suit abilities and their now, barely rusted experience of fighting.
"It's been so long. I guess we all have to start training." The girl sighed. Finally, the two reached the bottom floor. It was dark, with green lights barely illuminating the halls. Haruna used his built in flashlight to light up the path for the both of them.
As they were walking, they could feel themselves getting closer to their destination. Suddenly, there was a change in atmosphere. Haruna stopped in his tracks, leaving Loretta to walk alone. Noticing the path getting darker, Loretta turned behind to check if Haruna was still following her.
She walked back to the boy standing behind her. "Haruna? What are you doin?-" Haruna covered her mouth with his hand, leaving Loretta and her muffling noises. "Shh, someone's following us."
The two of them stood in that position, neither of them moving. They observed to see any other changes that was going on.
"I should've known you were coming for him."
Both Haruna and Loretta jumped in terror, Loretta facing towards the source of the voice. "Holo-hexes, go!" She screamed, deploying three on each hand, tossing it.
There was a sound following her attack, similar to someone drawing their katana. A pair of yellow eyes flashed at the two kids, causing them to gulp. Alas, the mysterious figure emerge from the darkness. 'She's very tall.' The two thought.
"Name's Riona. Pleasure to meet you." The woman greeted them with a smile. One that holds various expressions.
"Who are you? Where's my brother?" Loretta stepped back, to which Riona stepped forward.
"You must mean the Captain?" Riona paused, looking at the two kids, like she was studying their capabilities. "Oh, he's just somewhere down the corner."
Haruna opened his mouth to warn her not to joke around, but before he could do that, she disappeared.
Both Haruna and Loretta frantically looked around to find her, and the next moment all they could see was black.
"And you will be joining them too."
