Miles sat himself in a corner, biting his nails at the thought of his friends.

'Will they be okay? What if Riona does something to them? I want to get out of here, but I don't want them to get caught too.'  Was all he could think of.

Aggro raised a brow. "Why are you aggressively chewing on your nails?" He asked, with a tone of disgust. The boy shot a glare at him. "Why are you still floating in front of me like an idiot who's just doing what he's told?"

Aggro shut his mouth tight. "Fair enough." He muttered. The silence was quite peaceful, aside from the darkness that continued to terrorize the poor boy.

Then Riona came back, along with the anxiety that left Miles when he was fighting with Aggro 34 seconds ago. He remembered that his friends were on board. The woman paused to look at Miles, who had the look of worry all over him. She glared down at him, smiling evilly as she held both Haruna and Loretta by the collar in her hands. She tossed the two knocked out kids into the same room as Miles, agitating him.

"What." He gritted his teeth. "What did you do to them?" Aggro swore he could hear Miles break his tooth.

"Nothing really, I just put them to sleep." She responded, dusting her hands on her jacket. "They looked like they needed it."

Miles snarled at her. "You're a bitch." Zap.

"Keep talking shit with that pretty mouth of yours and I'll make sure both of these kids stop breathing." He wanted to retaliate, but his body chose to stay stiff, without making anymore sound. The woman rolled her eyes at him, and left the room, Aggro following her behind.

The sound of the door closing echoed, causing Miles to hitch. He could vaguely remember the exact location of the room where they were thrown. He tried to crawl around to find them, and eventually did. He did not know who was in front of him, but it had to be either his sister or Haruna. Even so, they're both crew.

Miles gently shook the unknown person in front of him. "Wake up," He whispered. He placed his hand on the persons face, aiming for the cheek. Slap.

It was a gentle slap, thankfully. Slowly the person laid down in front of him began to stir, groaning lowly. 'Haruna.' He instantly thought. "Dude, wake up. Are you alive?"

With his eyes closed, all Haruna could ever see was darkness. When he opens his eyes, there's more darkness. He sat himself up, his hand on his head. "Fuck, my head hurts so bad." He groaned. "Why is it so dark in here?"

"The bitch who threw you in here left the lights off." Miles responded. "Is your Questcom charged?"

"Miles?" Haruna's voice sounded more hopeful now. He quickly reached for his Questcom, switching it on. The device glowed, the same green color that used to help Miles cope with his fear of the dark.

There he saw his best friend, and his heart dropped.

His face was bruised, there were slashes all over his arms. Specifically his right arm, where there was a gigantic blood stain. There was dried blood on the side of his mouth, he assumed that he was bleeding from the mouth before he arrived. He looked like a mess.

"Haruna, are you okay? You looked like you've seen a ghos-" Miles was taken aback when he felt a pair of arms wrapped around him. Haruna buried his face in the crook of his neck, suffocated with the metallic scent of blood, which he didn't mind.

He was too late, but he was early enough too. Miles didn't die, but he wasn't left unhurt. And Haruna hated himself for that.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." He whispered, hugging him tighter.

Miles didn't say anything. He was more focused on the increasing pain on his back the more tighter he's been hugged, but the hug was warm. It was warm enough to compensate for the pain. Slowly, he hugged him back, the side of his head on his shoulders, hands fisting Haruna's now deactivated suit.

His eyes wandered off to Haruna's Questcom. 'It's not bright enough.' He thought. Haruna felt the aggressive tapping on his wrist and he laughed softly, noticing Miles' behavior against it.

"What are you doing?" He asked. Miles didn't look at him, he just replied, "A little more light would do." as softly as possible.

A voice as soft as that, could anybody refuse?

Haruna switched on the built in flashlight from earlier. The room looks so much brighter now. It's still dark, like you had lit up a candle the size of a one liter water bottle. Miles could finally see the pool of blood clearly beside him, and the walls, the chains, and his sister.

His eyes widened in shock at the sight of Loretta. He immediately jumped from Haruna's hug and rushed to her side. He gently pushed her shoulders, turning her over where she is now lying on her back.

"Loretta? Loretta wake up!" Miles whispered, gently tapping her cheek like how he did with Haruna. She began to stir, but didn't wake up. Haruna took this opportunity to flash Loretta with the built in flashlight. Miles turned to Haruna, "Don't do that," he says. "Your sister and I have unresolved conflicts." Haruna replied. Miles could only let out an exaggerated sigh.

Loretta groaned, protecting her eyes from the blinding light with her hands. "Haruna, get that shit off my face." She mumbled.

"Your brother's worried for you, and you're sleeping. Get real."

Somehow that one sentence had Loretta sitting upright, frantically looking for her brother. When she saw him, she was horrified. She had her hands on her mouth, keeping herself from shrieking. "What happened to you?" She asked, her hands trembling.

"I.." He paused. "It's quite a long story." Miles said, shrugging.

Loretta continued to eye at her brother for a while longer, examining the amount of bruises he has. His pajamas were torn, and his face was like one of those kids who got severely bullied at school. Her grip on her mouth began to tighten when tears streamed down her face, choked sobs coming from her.

It's almost like Loretta and Haruna are always having the same thoughts. 'Were we too late? He's not dead, but he's injured. Were we still too late?'

"Loretta, it's okay. I'm alright." Miles placed a hand on her shoulder before hugging her gently. Slowly, she began to calm down, her breaths began to stabilize. The two siblings broke the hug, Miles sat with his legs crossed. The three sat in silence, one which Miles felt was comforting for the first time. Haruna looked at his Questcom, staring at the light that barely brightened the room.

They've found Miles, now all they had to do was protect him.
