When we get back to the house we all meet in the Professor's Office.

A mutant had broken into the capital and tried to harm the president.

It's not a good look for mutants.

"I'm my opinion, Magnetos behind this" Scott says

Hey, he didn't say something completely stupid this time.

Oh, wait. Yes, he did.

"No, I don't think so Scott," Jean says

"While Erik is capable of organizing something like this from prison, for him, it would be irrational." Professor X says

Does Scott even know what prison is?

"it would only hurt his goal or mutant prosperity." Professor X finishes

"You mean superiority,"

"You're right. "

"If Erik had his way.."

"Of course, you know how the government will respond," Storm says

"They'll reintroduce the Registration Act" Storm finishes

"Or worse. The president could declare a state of emergency, place every mutant in the country under arrest." The Professor says which causes everyone to be silent

This is so dumb.

Why don't these people understand we are not the enemy?

"Do you think the assassin was working alone?" I ask breaking the silence

"Well, we'll only know that if we find him before the authorities do." He says to me

"I've been trying to track him using Cerebro, but his movements are inexplicably erratic." He pauses

"When I have exact coordinates, Storm, Jean, Abigail I'll need you to take the jet and try to pick him up."

"I'm guessing I'll have to make him come with us?" I say knowing why I was invited

We get out of the meeting.

At the top of the stairs, Steve is waiting for me.

You know.

That 20-year-old I talked about.

The one who just wont quit.

He's back.

"Hi Ab," he says

ew I hate that nickname.

"Steve, don't you have a class to be in or something?"

Take a hint dude.

"No class could keep me from you," He whispers in my ear

He is putting his hand on my shoulder.

Now he is letting it slowly glide down my arm. 

"Watch it."
