As we finish walking up the stairs, we find ourselves in the Shrieking Shack. We see Ron sitting upon a bed.

"Ron--you're okay!-" Hermione starts, relieved.

"No, run, its a trap!"

"What's a trap?!" I exclaim.

"The dog, he's an animagus!"

My eyes follow the trail of paw prints that soon lead up to human prints which lead up to, my father, Sirius Black.

"Y/n, darling!" He says as Harry draws his wand.

"If you want to kill them, you'll have to kill us too!" Hermione says also pulling out her wand.

"No, only one will die tonight..."

"THEN IT'LL BE YOU!" Harry says lunging at Sirius Black.

"Harry, no!" I cry out.

"Are you going to kill me, Harry?" Sirius says exasperatedly, a smile playing on his face.

"Yes!" Harry exclaims.

"Expelliarmus!" Professor Lupin says as he walks in the door.

"Professor Lupin!" We all say in sync, minus Sirius Black.

"Looking a bit ragged are we Sirius? Finally, the skin reflects the madness with in..." Lupin says, glaring at Sirius Black.

"You'd know all about the madness within, wouldn't you Remus." that makes sense considering his Lycanthropy. The two regard each other for a moment, then they embrace each other.

"No! We trusted you! Covered up for you! And all this time you've been hiss friend!?" Hermione say betrayed.

"He's a werewolf! That's why he's been missing classes!"

"How long have you known?"

"Since Professor Snape set the essay!" Hermione and I say.

"You two are really the brightest witches of your age that I've ever met..."

"Y/n gets that from her mother." Sirius pipes in. "Yes you, who glows at the sun and howls at the moon. Enough talk! lets kill him, now if you won't do it with me Remus, I can do it myself."

"Wait--Sirius--"

"I DID MY WAITING! TWELVE YEARS OF IT, IN AZKABAN, I MISSED OUT ON MY ONLY DAUGHTERS ENTIRE CHILDHOOD. IM DONE WAITING!"

"Alright then as you wish.."

"No!" I put my wand up and Lupin immediately disarms me. Harry eyes Sirius murderously.

"You betrayed my parents! And Y/n's mom! Your own wife! You sold them to Voldemort!"

"It's a lie! I would've never betrayed James, Lily, and Marlene!"

"Harry you've got to listen--!"

"Did he listen?! When our mothers were screaming?! When they were dying?!"

"NO! I wasn't there! And I'll regret it for the rest of my life..." Sirius and I make eye contact, his eyes glistening with pain.

Someone else betrayed your parents, Harry, Y/n. Someone who is in this room right now. Someone who until quite recently I believed to be dead.

"What are you talking about? There's no one here!"

"Oh yes there is!" Sirius turns to Ron, smiling icily. "Come out, come out Peter! Come out, come out to play!"

"You're mad!" Ron says tiredly, Scabbers squirming around in his hands. Lupin and Black raise their wands towards Ron.

"Expelliarmus!" Wands fly from their hands. "Ah. How vengeance is sweet. How I hoped I'd be the one to catch you."
