You zoned out and struggled to refocus on your work after Shoko and Suguru arrived and Gojo left. You ever so frequently would look at the office your manager Nanami would be in looking for the haunting figure watching, only to be met by closed blinds every time.
Perhaps your mind was just playing tricks with you, or you were just paranoid and imagining him staring at you back. That was the excuse you tried to nurture your worries with, taking a few deep breathes before submerging yourself back into your work properly.
The time shifted fast and before you knew it, Shoko and Geto were waving goodbye and leaving the office.
"Don't work too late y/n." Shoko sighed on her way out as Geto wished you luck on your presentation tomorrow.
You thanked him and said goodbye to them both. You then gathered your papers and plucked up the courage to make your way over to the office at the back of the room. You gazed at the floor as you walked over, stepping from tile to tile. You wished that the walk was longer, to give you time to clear your mind but you reached the office door before you could.
You breathed out long and slow, anxious for whatever conversation may arise but guaranteed to be awkward.
Knock knock.
You waited.
"Come in." The voice inside says.
You open the door, the cold door handle kissing your hand. As you entered, you closed the door behind and approached the desk.
"The presentation is complete for tomorrow and I have already made a strong start on the other tasks."
He nods whilst staring at his pen in his hands on his desk, not really acknowledging your presence sort of absent-mindedly listening.
The room drowns in silence.
"Here is a um.. a copy of it for you to.. to do a final check." You say placing sheets in front of him. When the sheets graze the desk eliciting the scratching papercut sound against the surface he quickly pushes off his desk and stands up from his chair abruptly. He walks over the the door and locks it. You felt your stomach drop and a knot in your throat begin to form.
"Is everything alright Sir?" You timidly ask knowing the answer was most definitely the negative.
He remains silent. He takes a seat back into his desk and begins to flick through the pages. After a few moments he looks up to you and then gestures towards the sofa and chairs sat opposite his desk.
"I don't want any unexpected visitors to interrupt our conversation." He monotonously states his reasoning fixing his gaze onto the door then back to the pages.
By 'unexpected visitors' only one man came to mind - Gojo.
You waited for him to talk, and began to zone out watching his movements. His eyes trailed across the text you had printed onto the pages, you could see in his face his brain digesting the information and thinking of suitable advice. You watched his movements as he would lean back into his padded chair, raise his hand to his chin, adjust his rectangular glasses, clear his throat and read with such focus. You observed how his tie and top buttons were now straightened and neat unlike before through the opened shutter blinds to his office.
He then places the sheets onto his desk then interlocks his hands together. He stares at you.
"I think its perfect. As usual Miss l/n." He says flatly, a smile covers your cheeks.
"Thankyou Sir." You nod.
He opens his drawers and pulls out a folder containing documents and passes it towards you.
