Walking down to the canteen you unlock your phone and open your messages with Utahime and let her know you're on your way. As you type, your phone vibrates and receive a message from Shoko.

The notification made you internally scream - like finally you could complain about it but how do you even explain why he's mad. You'd have to tell her all the events from Friday and you weren't even able to tell anyone so far because you had no time.

You walked into the canteen and noticed Utahime already waiting in queue, she waved you over smiling brightly. Compared to the dull atmosphere of your office, Utahime was like a ray of sunlight on your face while breathing fresh air. She healed you when you didn't even know you were feeling low. You walk over and join beside her, happy she wasn't further in the queue as you would hate to push in front of others.
"Heyyy! How are you! I've missed youu-" She wraps you into a hug in which causes you to laugh and hug her back.
"I'm doing okay, how are you?"
"You aren't over-working yourself again are you? You look worn out... Y/nnnn" She grabs your shoulders and shakes you.
"No no I promise... You just have too much energy for a Monday compared to me..." You ramble trying to get her to calm down.
"Yeah you're right. So how's the presentation going?"
"All good, I need to practice it to check for mistakes then it should be good to go for Wednesday..."
"I'll help you if you need, I'm free most of today and tomorrow, my projects are pretty easy till next week." She smiles as she offers.
"I'd appreciate it Utahime." You softly smile. You both grab food then sit down in your seats talking about anything that came to mind - avoiding talking about Friday night and the situation with Geto. It's better she not know for now.
But for some reason, today you had a spell of bad luck.
You turn to the food desk pondering whether to grab more and see a familiar figure. He stood tall and on his phone talking with someone, he leaned against the wall whilst he waited in queue. His most prominent feature made sure you recognised him instantly - the undeniable white hair and blue eyes. You briefly stared, stunned to actually bump into him especially after never seeing him in the office building for the whole past few years of you working here. Ironically at the worst time you would want to see him whilst sat with Utahime. She continued talking without taking notice of who you were looking at.
You continued to stare zoning out for a few moments until he turned at stared directly at you, that cocky confident smile crossing his face as he realised you were watching him.
As quickly as you could, you turned your attention back to Utahime and tried to refocus into what she was saying.
"Your bow's cute today." You say, pointing towards the white ribbon in her hair matching her blouse. She immediately flooded with smiles and rebounded compliments back at you.
