Hello Amazing Reader,
I want to start this off by saying a huge thank you. Thank you for reading this entire book, and going on this journey with me. Now that this is the end of my second Stray Kids fic (insane!) in the same series, I've become so attached to these characters and this universe, and I hope you are too! It's kind of sad that this particular story is coming to an end, but, as always, it's a happy ending! Same with Alaska and Felix, Lanhua and Changbin got their HEA, and I love them both so much. They're honestly so precious, and I'm gonna miss writing from Hua's pov. 😭 Hopefully I can write another Changbin fic in the future!

As you all know, this book is part of a series! Summer Day was the first of The Seasons Series, and Autumn Evening was the second. There are four books in this series, one for each of my own ocs: Alaska (summer), Lanhua (autumn), JJ (winter), and Tessa (spring).

Of course, going based off the order of the seasons, JJ's story is going to be next! As you know, JJ has invited the whole group to join her at her family's ski lodge for two weeks, over Christmas. Below, you'll find a teaser and small snippet from chapter one of her story, called Winter Night! I can't wait for this story to come out, and to continue this universe! There's so much more to each of the girls' stories!

Once again, thank you all for reading this book, and helping me on my journey to finishing it. I've been working on my updating consistency, and Winter Night will be sticking to the every Monday updating schedule, just like Autumn Evening. Hearing how much you've all loved both stories means everything to me. I hope you'll join me in reading all my next stories too!

I love you so much, and can't wait to share more amazing stories!

Until then,
Alaska

And here is a teaser for the next story in the Seasons series, Winter Night!

JJ just got done with a huge photo shoot collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger, her first ever semi-designer brand! In celebration, her parents have given her permission to stay in their winter cabin up in the mountains of Seoul for two whole weeks, and she can invite anyone she wants! No business (unless her friends need to work), just fun. She convinced all fifteen of her friends to join her for a winter, full of magic and adventure. They'll get to celebrate Christmas together, bake cookies, ice skate, build snowmen, have snowball fights, cozy up with a nice book by the fire, drink hot cocoa, and so much more. It's really the perfect winter wonderland, and for JJ, who is absolutely obsessed with all things Christmas, it's paradise. She's never spent Christmas away from her family, and while she's nervous, she couldn't be happier to be with her best friends. She is also trying (and failing) to keep her distance from a certain handsome drama-queen, whose drool-worthy smile and striking eyes keep drawing her in, despite her many protests. But when JJ gets some less than savory news, she is tempted to drop everything, and run home. Will she be able to take some time for herself, and find love?

Her entire life, JJ has been the resident chill girl. She's funny, cool, and go-with-the-flow. She takes everything day by day (or honestly, hour by hour), and she tends to run about ten minutes late to most functions. Although some of her actions might be out-of-pocket at times, she doesn't actively follow or rebel against the rules. As a part-time bartender and model, she is no stranger to hard work, and she constantly surprises people when they see her strong will and determined nature. While she easily makes friends with everyone, she's known by her friend group to date casually, and never gets into anything serious. She has always been scared of commitment, and runs right when either she, or a guy, starts to catch feelings. Her family life has been tough for many years now, so her fears of commitment is more than understandable. But now that she's come across a worthy man who is absolutely smitten with her, she's using her family as an excuse to push him away, even though she is terrified of losing him. But will she be too late in getting over her fears, and accepting that she does want more than a friends-with-benefits relationship?

Hyunjin is a drama-queen. Everyone is used to him over-exaggerating things, no matter how stupid. But in Hyunjin's book, there are two things that aren't stupid. The first one being his duties as an older brother. As kids, Hyunjin and his younger sister Alaska's parents were rarely home, always away on business trips. So that left Hyunjin to take care of his little sister, essentially acting as her third parent. And while he pretends otherwise, his love for her is more than he's ever loved anything. But as the older sibling, he bore the brunt of the trauma that was their abandonment. And it's largely because of this that Hyunjin finds himself clinging to his loved ones, perhaps stronger than he needs to. In the past, he would using girls that he didn't care about for his own (sexual) gain. But now that he's found the second thing, or rather person, that is definitely not stupid, he can't help but want a long-term relationship with her. But she only wants to be fuck buddies, while constantly friend-zoning him, convinced that he's still a fuck boy. Will he be able to put his playboy past behind him, and show her just how much he cares?

You did not want to go on this vacation.

Well, that was a partial lie. Half of you was indescribably excited to stay an entire two weeks with all of your closest friends, in your family's lodge, at the Jisan forest resort. But the other half dreaded it, knowing that a certain someone was going to be there. And you had spent the entire month and a half away from that certain someone trying to pretend you didn't reciprocate their feelings...

"Oh hon, you're going to have an amazing time, don't worry about us!"

"Aw ma, you know I'll worry about you either way."

You had been on the phone with your mom — or to you, affectionately dubbed "ma" — the entire Uber ride to Hyunjin and Alaska's house. Now, you stood outside the beautiful estate, entirely unwilling to hang up, despite the frigid December Seoul weather. Because if you did, that would mean coming face to face with the Hwang Hyunjin, and with that, your feelings for him.

"Hon, you need to hang up now." Your mom clucked her tongue at you, but you could hear the endearment in the sound. Your heart ached with love for her, and your dad. Even though you'd recently been going on more vacations, your camping trip back in the fall had been the longest you'd ever been away from them. And now, you were off once more, barely over a month later.

"Okay ma, I'll talk to you when I get there," you said, forcing the quaver from your voice. You never let your mom see how worried you were about her. You were the cool daughter, the one who stayed calm even in the face of a crisis. Because oh did your family need one of those.

"Talk to me when you have time," your mom corrected you firmly. "Don't drop everything to call me. As you've seen with your own two eyes, I'm fine."

"I know," you acquiesced hesitantly. "Love you."

"Love you too, Jiah."

You lingered in front of the Hwang family's house, even minutes after your mom had hung up. You were still stalling for time, but you couldn't help it. Since camping, you had only talked to Hyunjin over dm and FaceTime, and it was almost always in groupchats, or with other people around. You weren't sure how you were going to feel seeing him in person, especially after the events of Halloween night.

Trying to shake those memories from your mind, you raised your hand to knock on the door, mentally steeling yourself for the deluge of emotions that were sure to burst forth.

But before your hand could make contact with the wood in front of you, it swung forth on its hinges, properly startling you from your anxious thoughts.

"JJ! Oh my gosh, you're here! Get your gorgeous butt inside right now and give me a hug, you're letting in all the cold!"

Winter Night comes out on Monday September 23, so there will be a one week break as I prepare to release it! The two intro chapters and a prologue will be published at the same time, so be ready! However after that, I will be traveling to Japan for three weeks starting on 9/25, so I will only be updating my Haikyu fic called Late Impact, and finishing up Fairytale, until 10/18! I hope you understand. 🤍 But after that, starting on Monday, October 21, all updates will be back to normal! I absolutely cannot wait.

If you want updates on my fics, or want to give input on future fics, follow me! I post every single update on my message board, and you can get all notifications from me that way. Also, follow me on Instagram @kageyamasatoru.wp ! I post a lot over there, too. See you on the 23rd! 🤍
