Changmin's voice was sharp as he scolded Gracy, "Shut up, stop being a headache."

Gracy flinched, her eyes welling up. Just then, a soft, familiar voice cut through the tension. "Chang."

He turned quickly, his heart racing. "Annie!" he said, his face lighting up with relief. He hurried to her, pulling her into a gentle embrace. Annie returned the hug, her warmth soothing his frustration.

"How are you?" she asked softly. Changmin pulled back slightly and, as he had done many times before, kissed her temple. Realizing how forward that might seem, he quickly added, "I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to overstep."

Annie smiled, her eyes kind and forgiving. "It’s okay. You don’t need to apologize."

Changmin felt a wave of relief.

"Gracy! What are you doing here? When did you come back from Germany?"Annie asked hugging Gracy.

Annie, still holding Gracy close, looked at her with surprise. "Actually," Gracy began, her cheeks reddening slightly, "I’m a bit shy."

Changmin rolled his eyes, Just then, Mrs. Lee, Changmin’s mother, entered the room with a broad smile. "She’s going to be our daughter-in-law."

Annie’s eyes widened in joy. "What? Oh my god, I’m so happy for both of you!" She hugged Gracy again, this time with even more enthusiasm.

Changmin looked puzzled. "Wait, Mom, how do you know Annie? And Annie, when did you get here? How did you find the address? You didn’t ask me!"

Mrs. Lee chuckled. "She and her kids have been here for half an hour. We knew her name already, but today was the first time we met her."

"Kids? You brought Seol and Jae too?" Changmin’s face brightened with happiness.

"Yeah—"

"Dad!" Seol and Jae ran towards him. He bent down, scooping them up in a warm embrace. The moment was overwhelming; his eyes filled with tears as he kissed their faces repeatedly.

"How are you, my babies?" he asked, his voice trembling with emotion.

"We’re so happy! Appa has a huge house," Jae said excitedly.

"And so many toys!" Seol added, her eyes wide with delight.

Changmin smiled, his heart full. "He didn’t scold your mumma, did he?"

"No, he didn’t scold her," Seol said, "but he follows her around a lot. I think I need to fix that." His serious expression made Changmin chuckle. He was used to Seol’s protective nature.

"Finally, Jungkook is experiencing what he puts others through," Changmin remarked as he stood up, watching the kids happily play again.

Annie raised an eyebrow. "Seol and Jungkook are the same in terms of possessiveness. Right?"

"Oh, just hope Seol isn’t as bad as Jungkook," Changmin replied.

"Why not?" Annie asked, intrigued.

"You know how Jungkook was with you? Well, it was much worse than you know. He was obsessively possessive," Changmin said.

"I know that." Annie asked, her curiosity piqued.

" You don't know completely. You had a crush on a math professor in college. Remember how he suddenly disappeared?" Changmin asked.

Annie nodded, "He resigned."

Changmin shook his head, a hint of amusement in his eyes. "He resigned because Jungkook forced him out. He found out you liked him and made him leave."

Annie’s jaw dropped in shock. "Jungkook did that? Why?"
