As Wangji watched Cherry's antics, he couldn't help but think that having a child like him was both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, Cherry's stubbornness had brought Wangji to this point, forcing him to spend time with Wuxian again. On the other hand, Cherry's similarity to Wuxian was uncanny, from his features to his stubbornness.

Wangji's gaze drifted to Jeonghan, who was secretly glancing at Cherry with a mixture of adoration and shyness. Wangji shook his head, remembering when he first met Jeonghan four years ago. The child had been cute but possessive, claiming Wangji as his own and becoming hellishly protective. Yet, despite his shyness, Jeonghan was obedient and had a certain unapproachable air about him.

But what surprised Wangji was Jeonghan's reaction to Seungcheol, or Cherry, as Wuxian called him. The child would light up and smile whenever Cherry was near, and Wangji couldn't help but wonder what had sparked this connection.

As he looked at Cherry, Wangji couldn't deny the resemblance to Wuxian. The nickname "Cherry" was fitting, given the child's sweet and endearing nature. But what would Wen Qing and the others think if they saw him with Cherry? Wangji didn't want to return to that place, where he had been seen as pathetic and weak. Yet, he couldn't resist Cherry's charms.

Wangji's thoughts were interrupted by Wuxian's gaze, which was fixed on him with an intensity that made Wangji's heart skip a beat. Didn't Wuxian hate him? Then why this sudden change? Was Wuxian faking it all to get something from him? Wangji's mind raced with questions, unsure of what to make of Wuxian's actions.

As he looked into Wuxian's eyes, Wangji saw a glimmer of hope, a chance for redemption and maybe even love. But he was hesitant to trust, fearing that Wuxian might be playing him once again.

Wangji's eyes narrowed, trying to read Wuxian's intentions. But Wuxian's expression was sincere, his eyes shining with a warmth that made Wangji's heart flutter.

"Let's just take things one step at a time, okay?" Wuxian said, his voice soft and gentle. "I promise I won't hurt you again."

Wangji's gaze lingered on Wuxian's face, searching for any sign of deception. But all he saw was genuine remorse and longing.

"Fine," Wangji said finally, his voice barely above a whisper. "But don't think this means I've forgiven you."

Wuxian's face lit up with a radiant smile, and he nodded eagerly. "I wouldn't dream of it. I just want a chance to make things right."

As they sat there, surrounded by the children's laughter and chatter, Wangji felt a glimmer of hope. Maybe, just maybe, they could rebuild what they had lost. Maybe they could create something new, something beautiful.

Cherry, sensing the tension had dissipated, climbed onto Wangji's lap, snuggling into his chest. Wangji's heart melted, and he wrapped his arms around the child, feeling a sense of peace wash over him.

Jeonghan, not to be left out, climbed onto Wuxian's lap, and the two children began to chatter excitedly, oblivious to the complex emotions swirling around them.

Wangji and Wuxian exchanged a glance, a small smile playing on their lips. Maybe, just maybe, they could find happiness again.
