**Aphrodite's POV**
"Sigh..." I took deep breaths and stared blankly at the lovebirds from my room window. Heliē and Hercules looked so good together. It made me happy for them and a little jealous. I closed my eyes and sighed, lost in my tangled, messed-up thoughts. A cool breeze hit me gently on the face, and the scent of roses filled the room.
"Hello, Cupid," I smiled, eyes still shut.
"How did you know it was me?"
"Your signature scent," I chuckled and motioned for him to sit by me. No one would deny that this man, born thousands of years ago, didn't look a day over 1027, with strawberry-blonde glowing hair and an undeniably incredible physique. If we weren't related, I don't know what I'd do without him.
"What are you doing here? And why are you shirtless?" I smiled.
"Okay, first of all, I cannot be bound to a shirt. And secondly, I just wanted to visit, see how you were doing."
"Awwww, really?" I asked, and he nodded. "I came with Thanatos as well," he replied.
"Thanatos is here?" I questioned.
"Yes, he is," Cupid affirmed.
"Ugh..." I grunted, not hiding my displeasure.
"You guys still aren't on good terms?" he cautiously asked
"He melted Princess Diane." I said bluntly not wanting explain any further
"She was just a doll." He asserted in a hushed tone, but loud enough for me to hear.
"What?!"
"Nothing." He declared gently touching the rose flowers on the table. I had placed them in a phoenix shaped vase nyx gifted me. It's golden winges cautiously hugged it self making it look vulnerable and yet unapproachable. The roses however slowly started to wither, a few of it's petals laying on the table ready to crumble at the slightest touch.
"Thought so" I grumbled.
"Are you really not going to make up?"
"If he can't find a way to somehow revive princess Diane, he better not show me his face " I uttered and he chuckled slightly, his sight on the flowers unwavering. I watched in awe as the withering flowers slowly regained their youth. They were bright, red and beautiful. Knowing Cupid for so long I thought I'd be accustomed to the beautiful changes he created but somehow my heart couldn't help but leap with excitement whenever I watched him do it "thank you" I exclaimed beaming as I touched the flowers. He patted my head Lovingly his smile reaching his cresent shaped eyes. This scene alone would make people think he was the older sibling when I was born years ahead of him. I chuckled at the thought and shrugged of his hand.
It went pin-drop silent again, and I just looked at Hercules sitting by Heliē. They seemed happy, very happy... I sighed inwardly and blinked back tears.
"They're not in love," I heard Cupid say.
"How do you know? Look at how they look at each other."
"You know... for a goddess of love, you aren't very enlightened on these things..." He smiled as he wiped a tear from my cheek. "Probably because you're stuck in this dump," he frowned.
"It's not that bad."
"Yeah, just keep telling yourself that..." he mumbled, which earned an eye roll. "Why don't you leave?" he asked.
"I can't without Heliē."
"Ahhh... undying friendship. Classic," he smiled. "I heard Heliē has been leaving Mount Olympus lately. Why don't you go with her? See what it's like outside Zeus' grasp."
