" Girl he showed his little ass at the party!" Nadia said to me about her boyfriend as I locked up FootLocker

I looked at the time as I knocked on the door to my moms house to pick up Kay

"Mommy!!! " Kay screeched and jumped in my arms and I wrapped them tightly around her . We acted as if we haven't seen each other in six months every time we see each other

"Mom! " I called out to her sending Kay to get her things

"In here Jaz. " She simply called out from the living room

" Was she good ? " I asked sitting on the couch

"Yes Jazmine .. She is always good .. " She said blandly never taking her eyes off the TV , "How was work ?" She asked when she noticed I didn't say anything

"Fine .. " I said getting up not wanting to deal with her "Kay! Hurry up " I yelled up to her walking to the door

As I was waiting my phone vibrated in my pocket indicating I had a text.

From Unknown number : This Jazmine right ?

I shot a text back saying :
Who is this ..?

Unknown Number: Shad .

I quickly changed his contact , saving his number in my phone just as my baby came down the steps .

"Bye Granny! " She yelled smiling . She was so energetic but I knew she was gonna k.o in the car

I pulled into our brick one story home and picked her up and started grabbing the food and her things

I walked into my room and set her down on my bed as I went back to the front door and locked my car and then locked the front door .
