Let it Go The Neighbourhood

The second half of the day on set went much smoother than the morning. Lola could thank August for this. After he called Thaddeus out, Jayce took more charge of each scene. Thaddeus still made comments, but he seemed to only make them to Jayce. If he was talking about her, she'd rather it be to someone else than to continue bothering her. For someone who wanted things to stay cordial and under radar, he made it obvious they had an issue with one another.

All Lola could do was appreciate August for speaking up and not letting the bystander effect hold him back. By now, Lola was too tired to fight with Thaddeus or go back and forth. She could admit she let him bully her each day they were on set because arguing with him never got her anywhere. All everyone did was stand around to watch the encounters, and he almost always won because he was the boss. What Thaddeus said would always go.

Lola would never understand why he hated her so much, especially because she never told anyone what he did to her. When he got her hooked on drugs and later tried to force himself onto her, she kept it to herself. Instead of exposing him to the world, she pressed charges and sued. Even then, she kept it out of the media and handled everything in a private matter. Thaddeus not only got to protect his image during their legal disputes, but it would always be hidden from the world, so she wasn't sure why he made a point to terroize her every day.

The jail time he got was very little because he had enough money for good lawyers to bail him out and get him probation instead. Thaddeus was nearly a millionaire, so even when she did sue him, she knew he had money left over. Everything worked out more in his favor than hers. Lola received money, minimal justice, and trauma. On the other hand, he got a protected image and a slap on the wrist. She should be the one bothering him and making him feel shitty each day.

"Perfect second half of the day everyone. Make sure you check your email for tomorrow's call sheet to see what time you need to be here," Jayce announced after he called for a cut. "Aurora, you get your first day off tomorrow. Take some time to rest."
