Monday morning was a hectic one for August. Without Michelle in the picture, his morning routine changed completely. He woke up earlier than normal to shower, then entered the kitchen to have breakfast prepared. While it would've been easier to pick up something on the way or eat on set, he wanted Chasity to have home cooked breakfast since they'd likely eat out for lunch.
August preferred to refrain from drugs when he'd have to be around Chasity. However, he popped a pill before he took a shower. By time he went into the kitchen to make breakfast, the drugs kicked in. Of course, Chasity didn't notice this when she greeted him with a hug. However, the conscious part of his mind felt guilty about his addiction, especially when her abusers were always high.
He tried not to think too much about it when he sat across from Chasity with both their plates of food on the placemat. August watched her grin while she picked up her fork to dig into her corn beef and fried dumplings. Chasity requested the meal for breakfast the day prior, and luckily, August woke up in enough time to prepare it. There were only two days of the week August got to make breakfast. Those two days were Chasity's favorites, especially Sunday's.
Chasity loved Sunday breakfasts and dinners.
Thank you, daddy, she typed onto her phone before sliding it over to him.
"Yuh welcome, Chas. Are yuh all packed up fi leave?"
She nodded her head with a mouthful of food, making August chuckle. August decided to let her eat instead of bothering her with questions. As long as she was packed and ready, they could leave when they finished breakfast. There would be some time to spare before her classes began, so August could get her set up with Wi-Fi and in an area where she could concentrate to do her work.
According to Jayce and Thaddeus, she could be in the studio with them. There were private rooms and areas in the main area where other crew members often sat. They wanted Chasity wherever she'd be most comfortable and able to do her schooling. When it was time for a break, August would be able to drop her off to ballet classes. Then he would have his driver pick her up, take her to therapy, and bring her back to him.
