She had agreed to go on a date with him. She had fucking agreed to gone on a date with him. Raghav tapped his feet against the floor as he sifted through this clothes, looking like an utter wreck.

He did not have one good shirt to wear. Almost all of them were faded, threads slipping out in a few, and some of the others looking horrid. Why had he proposed a date when he wasn't prepared?

He quickly grabbed his phone and dialed a number.

"Hello?"

"Dhruv..."

"What the fuck? Why do you sound like you're about to cry?"

"I don't have one good shirt to wear, dude."

"...Why does it matter now?"

"I'm going on a date. Tonight."

"With Ayana? Already?"

"Yeah," Raghav let out a sigh, "I popped the question without thinking it through. Now I don't have a good outfit to impress."

"Come over to my room."

Raghav hastened in the direction of Dhruv's room and swung open the door, coming face to face with a near naked guy.

"Dude, what the hell? Would you knock before you come in?"

Raghav didn't pay any mind to the guy, who was now hopping around trying to pull on his clothes quickly. He faced Dhruv, who was lying on the bed with his phone in his hand.

"Open that wardrobe and check the shirts there."

Dhruv's roommate burst into protest, "Dude, those are my clothes."

Raghav turned to him with the most serious expression. "Brother, I got a date with a woman who I've had a crush on for awhile now. I don't have a good shirt to wear."

Silence dropped on them. The roommate's expression turned solemn as he patted the shoulder of Raghav, "I got you covered, man. Take a look. Just wash them before you return it to me."

"I'll get it dry-cleaned too." Raghav quickly sifted through the shirts before landing on one perfect blue shirt. He recalled Ayana saying that blue was her favorite colour. He decided on that one.

"Okay, I'll borrow this. I'll give it back by tomorrow night."

"No problem, dude. All the best on that date." The roommate gave him a thumbs up. Dhruv watched the exchange amused before returning back to his Utube shorts.

Raghav hastened out of the door. This date was his make-or-break opportunity and he wasn't about to go down without a fight.

"Okay, so I think everything is ready." Ayana said, breathless from anticipation and nervousness. Her brother eyed her before continuing to wash the vessels. Why was he always stuck being everyone's sidekick to their romance?

"Can you do a little taste test, brother dearest?"

Anand grabbed a Tingmo and put it in his mouth, fully.

"I said a taste-test! Not eating one whole Tingmo!"

"Well, it's pretty good." Anand mumbled, as he swallowed the bun. "The lucky brat is getting to eat all this, huh?"
