Limerence:
an uncontrollable, irrational,
romantic feeling for someone which
is almost obsessive and mostly one sided.
"𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻'𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲, 𝗦𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗿," he said, his voice a low, intense whisper.Shit.
I opened my eyes to see him stepping away. He turned around and said, "𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝗲."
Fuck.
I'm not his goddamn slave.
Yet, my legs betrayed me, and I found myself walking toward him.
Aren't you listening to him? My mind mocked me.
Shut up.
I knew it was a bad idea to think I could just leave and go home, ignoring him. How could I forget that this devil wouldn't let me go so easily?
He sat near the dining table and gestured for me to sit across from him. My legs moved of their own accord towards the chair opposite him.
"𝗦𝗼..." he began, but then he was cut off by Hamza's cheerful voice.
"𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲," Hamza greeted us with his bright, charming smile.
"𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴," I replied, smiling back.
Hamza took a seat next to Aziz. The tension in the room was palpable.
"𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝘆 𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴?"Aziz asked Hamza.
"𝗔𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱" Hamza replied with a smirk.
Hamza's face turned serious. "𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗔𝗱𝗶𝗹'𝘀 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲," he said, handing it to Aziz.
Aziz looked at me, his gaze intense. "𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝗶𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺?"
My mind raced. I couldn't let them be killed, but they deserved to be punished.
I am a doctor I won't choose violence, I choose justice.
I felt Aziz's piercing gaze on me, and I knew I had to decide quickly.
"𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱," I said finally. "𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲."
Aziz's eyes narrowed slightly, but he nodded. "𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗶 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲." I said, while he was holding it out to me.
