~:3rd POV:~
"Dad! Im gonna be late for school!" A child said, impatience was heard in her voice as she crossed her arms waiting for her parent. "Alright, alright I'm here Mahina." Replied a tall man in his late 40s, the man was visibly tired, but he was still cheerful. "Your mom is really tired you know, you'll have your little sister by today kid." The father continued while patting the kid's head, he then takes her by the hand and walks out of the house, making his way to the parking lot where his car was stationed. The child happily walked alongside her father. "Dad?" She started, "yes honey?" He answered. "Will you still love me after mom has Marianna?" Mahina sheepishly asked. The man walking with her was surprised by the child's question and he chuckled. "Of course sweetie, I'm your dad, I wouldn't do that." He says, taking his child's hand as he opened the door for her so she could go in the car's passenger seat in which she does anyways. With both of them seated and buckled up to leave, they head towards the nearby elementary school.

With her father gone, she's left alone and walks in the school playground. She knows nobody from this place, who knows how they'll act towards her. A kid around her age approaches her, she's been looking at her for a while, noticing how she was all alone and with no one who recognized her so she assumed she was new. "Hey, I'm Sarah. What's your name?" The stranger asks, the child looks up to meet her gaze. "I'm Mahina. How old are you?" She asks in return in which the stranger smiles. "I'm 11, you look like you're 8." She mocks, "don't worry, I'm just joking." She says, covering her mockery with a smile. "Oh. That's fine, but I'm actually 10." Mahina answers. The two kids stare at each other until Sarah finally breaks the silence. "Do you wanna be friends? You look like a loner staying all alone over there.." Sarah comments, eyeing her up and down. "Sure, I guess" she answers. "Great! Come with me to meet the others, you don't want to be left behind now do you?" Sarah adds as she grabs her hand and walks towards a group of of other strangers her age, probably her friends.
The group was talking, just minding their business until Sarah interrupts their little chit-chat. "Hey guys! Look who I found." She starts, drawing attention towards her. "Are you blind? Can't you see we were talking?" One of them states. "Geez, you're so annoying sometimes.." another one comments. Maybe it was a bad idea to be around them, Mahina tought to herself, but it's not like she knew anyone and it was now too late to back out. "Whatever." Sarah continues, ignoring their comments. "Meet Serena" she continue, now placing the spotlight on Mahina. "It's Mahina.." She shyly corrects. "I know. That name is ugly, that's why I changed it so you're Serena. Got it?" Sarah states, placing a tight grip on Mahina's shoulder, a seemingly small gesture to the eyes of others was a warning for Mahina from Sarah and she understood. "Okay.." she answers "Good!! Let me introduce you to the others." She says, acting like she didn't just threaten her to keep the name she picked for her.
Sarah points towards another girl. "You see the monkey over there?" She starts. "Fuck you Sarah." The girl hissed, Sarah rolled her eyes. Ignoring her. "That's Ivanna." Ivanna had dark skin, she was tall, had Afro and wore baggy clothing. Sarah points at a ginger headed girl. "See her? That's Sophie." She girl shyly waves at her with a gentle smile. Sophie had medium length hair, she was a little pale and she a pink floral dress with a white cardigan and a flower hair clip held her hair intact. "I'm Lucas." Another adds. He was a little taller than Ivanna. He had tanned skin, brown curly hair and wore dark baggy clothing. "Other known as the brat." Sarah comments in which Lucas rolls his eyes. "And I'm Carlos." Another says, waving at Mahina. He had beige skin, grey eyes, dark hair and had the same style as Lucas, but with a lighter color pallet. Now she knows everyone.
"I guess you're new here since you weren't here at the school's opening. Not that I care why, but that's pretty embarrassing.." Sarah judgingly comments, eyeing down Mahina once again. "Give the poor girl a break will you and start walking back inside. You're dumb nonexistent butt was too busy yapping to hear the bell ring." Ivanna adds, snickering at Sarah. "Excuse me?" She responds, visibly offended. "You heard me well. Start walking instead of standing there like a statue." Ivanna adds, moving past Sarah. She looked pissed, but didn't say anything and just followed her. So did the guys and the new girl followed them back to their class.
