This night it was Aemond who couldn't sleep. He sat by his writing desk, opened the drawer looking for a pen, and looked at the envelopes in it.

"Why burden her with nonsens" he always thought and never sent a single letter. Meanwhile, when she was here he was a reason for her anger and sorrow twice in a span of three days. He would bring her more sorrow if she stayed, Aemond thought to himself and closed the heavy drawer.

With the first beaming lights he went near Aika's room to see her one last time when she leaves, but once he reached her chamber it was already soulless.

"Princess Aika left much earlier with the princess Rhaenyra and prince Daemon," said the guard once he saw Aemond looking inside the empty room.

"Why didn't you go with her then?" Asked Aemond.

"She ordered me to stay, saying she no longer needs protection..."

Minutes after Aemond laid on top of Aika's bed, trying to sense her. He messed everything up...

Aika's smile was bright as she stand by Jace in the front of the ship. She felt like she left a heavy burden at King's Landing and now is free.

"It's great that you came," said Jace, "Dragonstone has a bit gloomy weather but it's beautiful, you will love it."

"I love it whenever I am with you my prince," smiled Aika and leaned onto him.

"They really adore one another," said Rhaenyra looking at the two from the upped deck.

"Do you really think this will solve an upcoming conflict?" asked Daemon.

"I think we are at least one step ahead by having Aika with us," replied Rhaenyra.

"The white bird will turn green once there will be a need to choose sides," said Daemon and after that the ship sailed in buzz and casual chatter.

Barely a week passed before  princess Rhaenys flew on Dragonstone and requested an audience of Rhaenyra and Daemon. Aika was in the room when everyone learned about the King's death and Aegon's coronation.

"You probably knew it all, what they planned," hissed Daemon and approached Aika.

"Daemon!" Rhaenyra ordered.

"I had no idea I hoped my engagement would prevent a conflict..." Aika said calmly but surprised.

"Oh how important you think you are.." Daemon spitted.

Rhaenyra felt something and touched her leg below her skirts. It was blood, she was having a preterm delivery. Aika was the fastest to react, as she ordered the guards to get the maester and hold Rhaenyra's hand asap.

She stayed with her sister as she gave birth to a premature baby girl. No longer alive. Rhaenyra cut the chord herself and wrapped her stillborn herself...

During her coronation, everyone on the Dragonstone kneeled before her, except Aika. Daemon was right, she knew this would happen and she didn't pick a side then, she should pick a side now. Dignity hinted to be on Rhaenyra's side but her heart knew she shouldn't.

This all meant only one thing. She would now be a captive here at Dragonstone, besides her engagement there was no reason for her not to be held as a prisoner here. And that scared her.
