Daemon woke up the next day expecting chaos in the castle. As expected, everyone, including maids and even cooks was talking about it.

"Princess Aika managed to escape, my prince," stated one of the guards he had assigned to her room.

"How exactly could that have happened?" asked Daemon angrily.

"We aren't sure. Her dragon is also missing. We were asked—"

"Enough of the blabbering," he interrupted. He still had to sneak into King's Landing... "All I know is that you two failed a simple task. Remove your cloaks, and may I never see your faces again."

'Aika wasn't a son,' Daemon thought. 'Now she will just be remembered as a lost princess, never found. I should get Aemond.'

Aegon was in yet another boring Small Council meeting when one of the royal messengers came through the door

"Hope we have some great news?" asked Aegon.

"We are not sure Your Grace, seems like princess Aika escaped the Dragonstone at night," stated the messenger.

"Isn't that magnificent news? I was already getting worried about her stay with the imposter queen," he joked smiling as he always did and looked at Aemond whose eyes darkened.

"They say she escaped at night... She should have reached here by now..." as he said, Aegons smile dropped.

"She should have reached here within couple of hours, it's already midday" Aemond continued frowning.

"We should do something," Aegon looked at Otto.

"We will send ravens to our allies near the shores to house Rosby and Duskendale, they would have noticed if dragon flew above," suggested Otto.

"Ravens of course," sarcastically chuckled Aegon, "my sister is missing and the best we could do is send fuxxing ravens..."

"I will fly with Vhagar near the kings landing, she shouldn't be far," Aemond rose and exited the room.

The idea calmed Aegon down.

When he got prepared for the coronation he didn't think of it as something that would affect Aika. He didn't think of anyone rather than himself.

Vhagar soared through the skies around the Kings Landing. He flew around Hayford castle, near the Blackwater Rush, then soared above the Kingswood and around the shore. No signs of Aika anywhere.

Nestled within the rugged cliffs below Kingswood, Aika lay draped across a dragon whose scales were marred with reddish-brown stains. Her breath came in slow, and her wound remained fresh and unhealed. Starlight beneath her, covered in wounds, showed less signs of life than her.

Once dropped, she remembers accepting death. Thinking of Jace, of Aegon, of Heleana, of her father and what he told her about Aegon's dream. She thought of Aemond and their hug on the balcony.

With almost no force left in her Starlight appeared below her, making her landing smooth and softer, as the two of them landed within the cliffs.

"Starlight," Aika whispered, "take me home, please" her voice sounded ragged.

The dragon, inanimate before, shimmered below her. Aika moved herself, and used the clips of the saddle, making sure she is secured as the wounded dragon prepared for the last flight.
