Slowly the castle immersed in silence and darkness. The clouds promised a stormy weather. Jace promised to come back when everyone would be asleep so Aika sat near the fire patiently waiting for him. She glided her fingers on the burning fire, without an ounce of fear.

A light knock was heard. Aika cautiously opened the door and saw Jace standing.

"Let's go quickly, I told them there's someone suspicious roaming in the castle.." he thought the details are unnecessary so just took her hand and guided her towards the staircase.

She wore a light dress, almost like a nightgown, which made it easier for her to skip steps and move quickly. They sprinted through the elongated corridors, which were fortunately vacant, and soon reached the cave-like room where the dragons were prepared for saddling.

Aika called out for Starlight and merely seconds later the dragon appeared. Jace was still holding her hand even when the dragon got very close.

"You should quickly go before anyone notices," said Jace still tightly holding her hand, "next time we see each other things will be... different..." and he let her go.

She showed him a bittersweet expression before mounting her dragon and preparing to fly.

"Thank you Jace," she mouthed, and they flew out of the cave.

As they flew, Jace felt emptiness within. He felt bad for his actions. All he thought was, he better see her against him rather than dead, which for this moment felt extra stupid.

Starlight was a nimble dragon, flying swiftly through an almost soulless sky. It was pitch dark due to the thick storm clouds, and in the not-so-distant horizon, a lightning bolt struck. Then a sound was heard that sent a chill through Aika's body, like a screech. It wasn't the first time she heard it, hence she knew exactly in which type of trouble she has gotten herself into.

"Faster Starlight, fly away faster," the dragon, already anxious from the stormy weather, trembled under her but fastened her pace.

More lightening bolts cut through the clouds and the sound that was heard prevously seemingly gotten closer by now. Starlight sensing the danger, seemed more and more cautious.

As the rain started Aika spotted mountains below indicating she somehow flew to a different direction. Confused she looked closer to the mountains, trying to figure out where exactly they were.

After a split second, the huge red worm, with Daemon riding it, caught Starlight from her neck. The dragon whizzed.

"No no no.." Aika cried out as two dragons wheeled in the air attached to one another.

Caraxes, using his claws, opened wounds on Starlights wings and body. One of the claws even got Aika's weist scraped which made her cry out. Starlight, named because of her beautiful white color was covered in red and felt as if lifeless when Caraxes hold her from her neck and Daemon reached out and took Aika out from her saddle.

Once Daemon took good hold of her, he ordered Caraxes to drop the dragon. Aika saw how her precious Starlight vanished into the abyssal zone between the montains.

"I told you I will kill you if you try to flee," said Daemon while trying to pull Aika up.

He held her by the right hand while she used her left hand to press on her wound to prevent losing any more blood. She hung not even trying to hold his hand back. Daemon's grip was only thing keeping her from falling.

"I wish not to be a prisoner, or a burden" she yelled at him.

"You don't have many options," he yelled back, "once I bring you back maybe your brothers will surrender themselves..."

Aika pulled him slightly which surprised him, then she raised her legs up.

"Are you mad, what do you think you are doing," yelled Daemon and lightening struck again.

"I said I wish not to be a burden," and pushed her legs up which made Daemon to loose his grip.

Daemon saw how her silhouette disappeared like her dragon's a moment ago. He motioned Caraxes to fly after her but it was useless.

The rain poured heavier and heavier.
