After walking out the diner, Iyana had to guide the group towards the icecream shop, since they weren't great with directions. It was a little farther to walk to, but it takes less than ten minutes ultimately.
Mina, Kirishima, and Kaminari were walking in the front, while Iyana and Bakugou were in the back. It seemed they walked at a more slower, more comfortable pace.
The sky was dark, streetlights illuminating the streets. The streets were empty, which was common since the majority of people in Esta preferred to walk than to use vehicles. The sun seemed to set earlier in the small town of Esta.
Iyana and Bakugou found themselves walking side to side, with a small smile on Iyana's face and a scowl etched on Bakugou's.
After a beat, Bakugou finally opened his mouth, breaking the comfortable silence they had going,
"Quit starin' at me, Glasses."
Glasses? Was that a nickname for Iyana? Iyana only wore her glasses at the bookstore, but often took them off since she didn't like how they looked on her. Her vision was still fine though, even though far away things were a little blurry.
Iyana raises an eyebrow at the nickname, "Glasses?" At that, Bakugou shoves his hands into his pockets roughly.
"Are you stupid? I've literally seen you wearing glasses so don't act like you're not a nerd" He sneers in reply.
Iyana huffs, "I don't even remember wearing them infront of you!" She fidgets with one of the silver rings on her index finger with her thumb.
"Shut the fuck up" Bakugou barked.
Iyana crosses her arms, pretty annoyed with his attitude. What leaves her mouth next is completely unfiltered, a thought in her head that accidentally slipped out, "Make me."
Bakugou stops and tears his gaze away from street as he looks towards Iyana, before giving another one of his grins. This grin was filled with mischief, it sent a shiver down Iyana's spine. Iyana opened her mouth to say something but she was suddenly knocked off her feet, "What're you-"
Bakugou had just tripped her. Or pushed her, she wasn't paying attention when he was smiling at her like that.
Seconds away from falling flat on her face, Iyana felt a firm grip on her wrist, but it wasn't one of her bracelets. It was a hand, a warm one at that.
Iyana was pulled up, facing Bakugou real close as they locked eyes. This was definitely a 'hes in my personal bubble' moment, but Iyana was way too fascinated with his crimson eyes to care.
A faint reminder ran through Iyana's head, the fact that this was somebody's boyfriend. Iyana shouldn't be looking at him like this, Iyana shouldn't be fascinated with him like this, and Iyana for sure shouldn't be feeling like this.
Quickly, Iyana stepped back and put space between the two of them. Bakugou's grin seemed to drop as she did, but the mischief was still etched on his face.
Iyana continues to walk, "I can't tell whether I should say thank you or not since you tripped me." Bakugou sends a glare her way as he walks with her, "You should thank me for feeling generous and stopping you from face planting on the ground."
Iyana gives him a 'seriously?' look, "Right.. since you're so sweet and generous." Bakugou points towards himself with his thumb, "I'm a goddamn ray of sunshine."
Iyana smiles at that, waving him off, "Definitely.." Her voice dripping with sarcasm. Bakugou rolls his eyes in reply.
"Your hands are really warm, by the way." Iyana blurts out. He always seemed to keep his hands in his pockets.
