As always, the hours passed by rather slowly in the bookstore.

Today, Iyana had the grand idea to connect her playlist to the big speakers. Her playlist was a mix of a few genres like pop, indie, alternative, rock, and R&B music. Iyana never discriminated on music tastes.. unless it was country. She would really rather die than listen to country music.

Iyana's mom didn't seem to mind that she played songs through the store speaker, since Iyana would listen to it on her headphones anyway.

Throughout the store hours, a few of the customers even complimented the music playing, saying that the store felt more lively and less quiet.

Right now, some band she liked was playing. Iyana didn't really have favorite artists or bands, but she did have ones she preferred over another.

Iyana scrolled through her phone, looking at the date. It was two days until Hakagure came back from vacation. Was it normal to miss a friend this much? Iyana didn't know. Recently, she hadn't even been thinking about Hakagure, and more about Mina's friendgroup.

Maybe she could introduce Hakagure to them.

The door to the bookstore slams open and shut aggressively. It was as if Iyana didn't even need to look to know who it was.

No customer slammed the doors like that, especially when the main customers of the small bookstore were elderly people.

This time, Iyana didn't shout a welcome, she just continued to wipe the counter. Iyana had forgotten yesterday.

The spiky haired blond man stomps up to the counter, holding yet another bracelet. It seemed he liked the bracelets as much as Iyana did.

Whenever Bakugou entered the store without Mina, he would always stop by the trinkets and pickup a bracelet

"Stop fucking staring at me!" He snaps.

Iyana rolled her eyes and dropped the dirty tissue into a trashcan under the counter. "I was just thinking about how you always buy these bracelets." Iyana answers honestly.

He slams the bracelet on the counter, "Hah? You got a problem with that?!" Iyana shakes her head vigorously, to say 'no'.

"It's just that nobody ever buys the bracelets. I mean, if you wanted quality bracelets there's a jewellery store about, um.." Iyana tilts her head to think, "about two minutes away from here if you go by foot."

Bakugou slides the bracelet towards Iyana, "These are cheaper." He runs a hand over his spiky blond hair.

His hair seemed soft. Iyana wanted to run her own hand through it, but it would be wrong. Mina's boyfriend. His wrists had the bracelets he bought, which were only a few. The color of the bracelets he bought were mostly shades of red or orange.

Iyana shrugs at him, eyeing the bracelet he picked on the counter. Bakugou scowls, "You got something to say about it?"

In reply, Iyana takes the bracelet and lifts it up to his face, "The color of this one matches your eyes." Iyana wasn't wrong, it was a crimson red color, almost identical to the blond's eye color.

When Iyana placed the bracelet back down on the counter and looked back up at the blond, she could've sworn the tips of his ears went the slightest shade of pink. Iyana concluded that she must've been seeing things.

"S'not the same color." His mouth formed a scowl.

Iyana put her hands up in surrender, "Okay."

There was an awkward silence. The only sound in the bookstore was Iyana's music playing in the speakers. It was a song that Iyana didn't listen to often, but it was a song by a band she forgot the name of. Iyana listened in, the main singer sounded alot like the irritated blond infront of her.

Bakugou spoke up first, "Is this your playlist?"

Iyana nods her head, "Yeah, do you like it?" She questions. Iyana didn't really care if he liked it or not, she was still going to play it.

"It's shit." He deadpans. Gosh, Bakugou was super straightforward.

Iyana rolls her eyes as he takes out money for the bracelet. "Y'know, the singer of this song kind of sounds like you."

Bakugou freezes. He stops for a split second then places down his money on the counter. "No they don't." He frowns.

That was odd, Iyana thought. She shrugs it off and continues talking.

"They do. It would be funny if you were secretly a famous singer, but you're too rude to be one." Iyana sighs, putting the money in the till.

"I'm not rude, I'm the nicest fucking person to ever step foot onto earth." He corrected.

Iyana slid the bracelet towards Bakugou, giving him a 'seriously?' look.

Bakugou rolls his eyes and snatches the bracelet, ripping up the packaging to put it on.

Iyana props her elbows on the counter, leaning in with a tiny smile on her face, "Eager, are we?"

At that, Bakugou throws the bracelet at Iyana. Iyana thankfully dodges in time, with the bracelet falling on the floor beside her shoe.

If Iyana hadn't have dodged, she would've ended up with a nasty bruise. She shudders at the mere thought.

"That was literally millimeters away from my face!" Iyana complains.

Bakugou lets out an irritated sigh, "No it wasn't, you fucking baby!"

The blond turns around and storms out the store. Iyana looks down to her shoes and looks at the bracelet. He had paid for it and then just left it here.

Iyana sighs and yells out, "Wait! Your bracelet!" She waits for atleast a reply, but it seemed that Bakugou had already left. Iyana picks up the bracelet by her shoes.

She wondered what she would do with it. Iyana was wearing a pleated skirt, which meant that she didn't have pockets to put the bracelet in. If she left the bracelet on the counter then her parents would find it and surely put it back in the packaging to sell again.

It seemed that the only reasonable option was to put it on her wrist so she could look at it and remember that she needed to give it to Bakugou the next time they met.

Iyana didn't want to think about how she kind of wanted to wear it, since that was Mina's boyfriend. That's right, he was somebody's boyfriend. It seemed Iyana had been forgetting about that fact lately.

She reluctantly takes the bracelet and slides it on, the crimson colored beaded bracelet resting on her wrist.

Green had always been Iyana's favorite color, but now it was slowly getting replaced.

Constructive criticism is appreciated. Lmk if the story is going too fast.

If anybody has any ideas to what I should name bakugou's band I'd be happy to hear it.
