“Babe—”
“Don’t you dare, Jungkook. I’m already so angry. How could you pull that stunt? I was literally dying, thinking I’d lost you,” Annie said, her voice shaking with frustration and worry.
“Ba—” Jungkook tried to speak, but she cut him off again.
“So you must enjoy seeing me cry, huh? Do you still think I look sexy when I’m in tears?” she snapped.
“ offcourse You do look sexy and irresistible when you’re crying.”
Annie shot him a sharp glance, her eyes flashing with irritation.
“Forget about that. Look, I’m hurt,” Jungkook said, pointing to the bandages on his forehead and hand.
Annie sighed deeply, her anger melting into concern. She moved over to the bed where Jungkook was sitting, now safely at home. After the emotional kiss in the hospital, everyone had been overwhelmed, and Jungkook had been too shocked to respond properly. Before he could kiss her back, Annie had pulled away, her face flushed red with embarrassment. Taehyung had witnessed the scene but hadn’t reacted; he had already accepted that Annie was Jungkook’s and that nothing could change that. She herself can't.
“Your bandage needs to be changed,” she said softly, carefully unwrapping the bandage from his hand.
“Does it hurt a lot?” she asked as she examined the wound. Jungkook’s attention was entirely on her face, filled with worry and tenderness. He loved seeing her care for him like this. She was reminding him of the Annie from three years ago—the one who cried for him and looked after him.
“This might sting a little,” she said softly, “but it’ll be quick.”
Jungkook was barely paying attention to the pain. Instead, he was captivated by her closeness, the way her hair fell around her face, and the focused look in her eyes. His gaze wandered to her lips, and he felt a fierce, unrestrained desire building up inside him.
The room seemed to thrum with an electric tension. Unable to control his yearning any longer, Jungkook leaned in, his movements deliberate and intense. He grabbed her face gently but firmly and kissed her with a burning passion. His lips pressed hard against hers, his kiss full of raw need and urgency.
Annie was caught off guard for a moment, her eyes widening in surprise.
Jungkook's eyes widened as she accidentally pushed him. He looked genuinely hurt.
"I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to," she said quickly, her voice trembling.
Jungkook's voice was slow and filled with sadness. "So you still haven’t forgiven me?"
“No, that’s not it, Jungkook. It’s just that you kissed me out of nowhere and I—”
"Babe, I could have been die there, but I did it because I love you. I think you still don't believe in my love," he said, his face showing deep sadness. Seeing him like this made her heart ache with guilt.
“Jungkook,” she said softly.
“It’s okay, Annie,” he replied, turning his gaze away. She felt a pang of guilt, realizing that although she had hurt him, he truly loved her.
Without knowing that Jungkook was manipulating her, using her guilt to get what he wanted.
“I’m really sorry,” she mumbled, gently cupping his cheek. He still wouldn’t look at her.
“I’m really sorry,” she repeated, and then gave him a light kiss on his cheek.
“It’s okay,” he said, still not meeting her eyes.
