Family Ties

The following day comes, I couldn't sleep that whole night. Even though Ty and I weren't the closest, that's still family. At the same time, if what Kiki is saying is true, then he's completely changed. Even though Ty was always in the game, he was never an aggressive person. He always treated women with respect too, it's crazy how much Kane has influenced him to change.

I hop out of bed and go freshen up in the bathroom, as I finished, I headed downstairs and saw Kiki cooking breakfast. I go up and hug her from behind as we lock lips for a bit. I sit at the table as she gives me a plate of food, she then gets her plate and sits at the table with me. As I'm about to dig in, I see her bow her head for a moment and start eating. I ask her, " What is it that you just did before you ate?". She finish chewing her food as she reply's, " I just blessed my food before I ate. Don't you pray before you eat?". I take a bite of my food as I say, " Ion really believe in none of that God stuff. Like what god would allow people to go through things like I've been through. I never knew my parents, my uncle was taken from me, I was sleeping in abandoned buildings while roaches and rats were on me, I had to steal food to survive. I had adoptive parents that were taken from me as well. Tell me, what almighty being would allow someone to go through so much suffering? And then you want me to pray and give thanks to him?".

As I finish my rant, I sit there motionless with tears falling down my face. Kiki comes by my side and tightly embraces me while she wipes my face. She then turns my face to hers and says, " I understand why you feel like that and I don't even blame you, but when things start going right for you, I want you to use what you've been through and speak about it to others so they can use your story as motivation to want to do better in their lives. Plus, everything in our lives happens for a reason. I understand you think the most high doesn't favor you but trust me, he loves you and he's showing that love right now. You're in a nice comfy home , in a nice bed and a shower. Please, do me that favor, please tell your story when it comes time."

I hug Kiki even tighter as we continue to embrace each other. I finish my food and wash my plate as I head back upstairs. I go in my room and shut the door, I pull out a bag from underneath the bed and pull out a Glock. I grab the magazine as I begin to load it with rounds. I put on my all black clothes and I put on some gloves. I place a skullie on my head and place my gun on my hip. I call Ty and tell him that I gotta handle some business and asked if he could drop me off. He agrees and says he'll swing by in a few minutes, I head downstairs in the living room and I sit and wait. Kiki comes up to me and says, " So, you ready for this? Cause once you step in that car with him there's no turning back." I look up at her with a serious expression as I reply, " Like you said, everything happens for a reason".

Ty pulls up to the house a few minutes later, I hop in the car with him and dab him up. He starts driving as he says, " So where we heading fam?". I told him we going twenty minutes down the road at this trap house. As we're riding, he plays some music to break the silence, as we're driving there everything starts to move in slow motion for me as if I'm just so nervous doing this. We pull up to the place and I tell Ty to park on the side where no one could see us. Ty turns off the car and he lights a blunt as he lays back in his seat and a tear falls down his face. I see it and ask him if he's ok, he takes a big puff of his blunt as he faces me. He then replied, " Look fam, I know you're gonna kill me, I know Kiki put you up to this and I'm not even gonna fight it. I know I've been acting like a terrible person lately, the only woman that actually cared for me was Kiki and I treated her like trash. She deserves better than me, and I wouldn't mind if it was you fam. Plus between me and you, I was a deadman walking anyways. I contracted HIV a few weeks back from this one shorty I was dealing with. Doctor told me I didn't have much longer to live due to how fast it's spreading in my body. So I'd rather go out by my own blood then a dumb disease ".

I pull the gun out and aim it towards Ty as he finishes his blunt. He gave me a paper with all his bank information so I can have access to all the money he has. Before I pulled the trigger I tell Ty, " I love you man, I hope the most high has mercy upon you". " POP POP POP!". I exit the car and go inside Kiki's car, she followed us the whole way to give me a ride back to the house. As we're riding she looks at me and ask if I'm ok, I look at her then look out my window and say, " Everything happens for a reason ".
