The van was driving through the desert. "Are we sure we're going in the right direction?" Sandy says adjusting the mirror so he could see everyone in the back. "Not a clue. All Monkey King said to do was head west so" Tang says as the map stolen by Mei. "How did anyone get anywhere using these?" Mei yells in frustration. "Yo blue thing, wanna crank up that AC brother?" Wukong says while meditating. "Uhh hey a little help up front Monkey King" Mei says and Wukong pretends to be asleep. "Hey I know you can hear me!" Mei yells. "No I can't" Wukong says.
"Mei, Monkey King needs to recharge after his fight with Nezha, he's in no shape to waist his time on mere mortals. Especially now that I don't have my powers" Mk says. "Whoa, he told you that?" Pigsy says. "We have a very honest relationship , Pigsy. Besides, that kind of Mystic Monkey meditation requires complete focus, apparently" Mk says then sits up. Savage walks over to Mk a smacks him hard. "Oww what was that for?" Mk says holding his cheek. "That's for believing an idiot who only cares for himself and for thinking you're nothing without your powers" Savage says bluntly. Mk goes to speak but Savage speaks first.
"I want you to be quiet and listen up do you understand?" Savage says harshly. Mk nods quickly a bit scared everyone else just sat there quietly scared as well. "Good now Rumble come here" Savage says nicely to her brother. "Okay!" Rumble skips over happily. "Now let the lesson begin!" Savage says then goes and picks up a piece of paper crumpling it then walks back. "Alright now you see this piece of paper. I'm gonna hide it and you're going to sit here till you use gold vision to find it" Savage says. "B-But my powers are gone" Mk says upset.
"They're not gone there apart of you. You just half to relearn them!" Savage says. Mk looks up then looks determined. "Alright let's do this!" Mk says. "Alright, Rumble cover his eyes so I can hide it" Savage says and Rumble covers Mk's eyes. Savage then hides it and walks back and Rumble uncovers Mk's eyes. Mk starts trying to get gold vision to work but fails over and over. Savage walks to the front. "Alright back to figuring out the map" Savage says.
"So how does this map work exactly? How does it know how to find the 3 rings of Samadhi?" Tang says trying to figure it out. "Here let me see" Savage says and Tang gives her the map and she sets it on the ground opening it and sits in front of it and Rumble sits next to her. "Alright the red flames are probably are the 3 rings and that design looks like Lantern City" Savage says pointing at one of the ring spots. "That one looks like Uncle DBK, Aunt PIF, and Cousin Reds new home" she says pointing at another ring spot. "And the last one looks like the moon which is where Aunt Change lives!" she says point at the last Ring spot. Everyone just stares in shock.
"What?" Savage says looking at them confused why they are so surprised. "You just figured out all the ring spots by taking one look at the map!" Tang says shocked. "Yeah, Papa taught me to read maps incase I ever needed to" Savage response. The van suddenly breaks down. "Uh oh" Sandy says cause the van over heated. Everyone gets out of the van. Savage walks up to Mk and points to the van. "I told you to stay put!" Savage says and Mk jumps back in the van so he doesn't upset her.
"H2O mg you guys!" Tang yells and Mk sticks his head out of the van to look. "You guys are hallucinating it's only a muddy puddle!" Savage yells and they all snap back into reality. "It's still water!" Mei yells then they all rush to it. They make it to it and Mk drinks it all. "Umm excuse me but you'll have to pay for that" a fish demon say and Mk spits it back out. "But we're really really thirsty please fish man won't you show us some mercy!" Mei says. "Aww your thirsty well why didn't you just say so, go ahead and help yourself" the fish demon teases. "Uhh ok well maybe we could buy something else something that could get us across this dessert faster for instance?" Pigsy says.
"Yeah what can I get for this many?" Mk says putting a bunch of random stuff on the demons desk. "Hmm that will get you nothing like this!" The demon says pulling out a shiny engine. "Huh it's so beautiful" Mei whispers. "Ugh but we could never afford anything like that! I bet it cost like a bajillion moneys." Mk says upset. "Well you could always win the engine" the demon says. "Huh win?" Mk says hopeful. "Well of course" the demon says and the stand turns into a carnival looking stand. "Welcome to Desert Deal of the Day! With me, your host, the Goldfish Demon!" The demon says. The fake audience cheers.
"The rules, they are simple you put something of value in order to win something of value win the game get the prize!" The demon says. "Don't trust it guys it's tricking you" Savage says suddenly appearing out of nowhere with her brother scaring everyone. "But we just have to win one game tho" Mk says. "These games are normally rigged" Rumble says speaking up for the first time in a while cause he misses his Papa.
"I promise you my games are not rigged" the demon says trying to trick them. "You stupid little monkeys you're going to ruin everything!" The demon thinks to himself. "I have an idea!" Savage thinks to herself. "I'll be right back don't do anything Savage says running off. Savage makes it back to the van and drags Wukong back to the group. "Uhh why did you grab Monkey King?" Mk says. Savage puts Wukong beside the table. "Here is our wager, the Great Sage himself!" Savage says presenting. "What!" Mk yells. "I will take him!" the demon says. "But if we win you give us whatever we need" Savage finishes saying.
"Deal" the demon says. Savage pushes Mk up to the game table. "We didn't agree on this!" Mk yells panicked cause his mentor is on the line. "Let the game begin! This game is called One Shell Monty." The demon says. "Hey, I'm Monty." Monty says to Mk. "The rules are simple: I place Monty under one of these three plates. Give them a shuffle and you point to the one that contains Monty." The demon says. Mk stands there stressed cause it's probably rigged and Monkey King will be taken from him. The demon begins shuffling the plates around while Mk watches.
"Come on, MK, you can't let Monkey King down." Mk whispers to himself and manages to use gold vision and sees that Monty was going to drop through the table and puts his hand under the trapdoor stopping it from opening. "So, where... is... Monty?" The demon says. "The one in the middle!" Mk responds. "Oh, so sad, too bad, but you... huh? What? Impossible! How did you..." the demon says confused. "It's simple, really. You were fooling us just like Savage and Rumble said but I, Mk / Qi Xiaotian, the Monkie Kid, noodle delivery boy for Pigsy's Noodles, and unconfirmed monkey saw right through your trick!" Mk says.

"You rigged this table so that no matter what plate Monty was under, he would drop out from under it just as your contestant made their choice, which makes you a cheater!" Mk says. "Now, now, now, listen. Uh, we can make a deal! Friends?" The demon tries to get away from Mk friends. "We made a deal, alright." Mei says menacingly.

They get everything they need from the fish demon and then go back to the van and Sandy puts on the new engine and AC on the van. "And we are ready to go!" Sandy says. "So wait, how did you get back your Gold Vision again?" Mei asks "I don't know. The same way I got them in the first place I guess? Every time I learned a new ability, it was because there was something I needed to do, when there was no other way. Against the Goldfish guy, I needed to do something to save Monkey King and then... haha I don't know, it just happened" Mk says.
"You found your strength when you needed it most" Wukong says leaving his meditation. "Oh, I guess someone's done meditating after he was almost given away" Mei says. "Key word almost, also worst case scenario I could have beat the demon up if Mk did fail" Wukong says shrugging. "Anyway, one power down. Just a few thousand more to go!" Wukong says then the van speeds off into the desert.
